  1. Awesome, glad to see something went to our favor for a change!
  2. Lots of counties offer tree seedlings through their cooperative extension or soil and water conservation district. Usually a good assortment of trees and shrubs. The state has a program too run out of Saratoga I believe.
  3. The league is in a different place each Sunday morning. You are in Chenango County, not too far from most of them. I shot Cassety Hollow last year, looks pretty close to you. When they release the schedule, I will post it up.
  4. Nice bow, it’s fun to try something new/. I have been shooting recurve for a year and it is a lot of fun! There is a good summer 3D league in CNY if you are interested. I shoot indoors at Wildwood in Eldridge if that is close to you. Quite a few trad archers shoot there.
  5. Robin, glad to hear you will be hunting in NY again. My friend and I are planning to canoe/camp/hunt/fish that area again this fall. Maybe Lake Lila again as we know it a little now and have some areas to explore more fully. Sure would love to have a canvas tent with wood stove like yours! We were lucky and had a decently warm week and good sleeping bags.
  6. @crappyice LOOKS AWESOME!!! Next time I have this meal, I want to try it with Polenta. Never liked it as a kid, but maybe now I would. Over noodles is real good though.
  7. What happened here?????? Looks nice, when I signed on I thought I was in the wrong place!
  8. for me slow on PC, fast on Tapatalk.....
  9. Glad to hear it's just not me! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. @Biz-R-OWorld sorry I missed this until now. I never click on the NFL thread, but Grammys last post caught my eye. Nothing is more important that the health of your daughter. I am glad to read she is home and doing better. My oldest daughter had open heart surgery in NYC twice before she was 18 months, so I know how heartbreaking it is to see them sick and helpless. That was 28 years ago, now I play and enjoy her son and my grandson everyday! Anyways continued good wishes and prayers for her full return to health.
  11. Very sorry, I have tears in my eyes now. Bird Down Max, fetch it up!!
  12. My friend made Venison Osso Bucco, one of my favorite all time meals. I'd ask for this as my last meal before the electric chair! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. Did I miss the final tally being ousted somewhere?
  14. I just read an article that said a lot of sporting goods places are sold out of snowshoes. Another Covid Effect I guess. Craigslist may be your best option, or maybe someone here has a pair to spare. I have a pair of teardrop wooden Cabelas snowshoes that I really enjoy using, except the bindings are difficult to put on my boots. Nice large footprint and they float on snow really well. I like that the rawhide lets snow fall thru when you pick your foot up. I also have a pair of aluminum and neoprene with the new style ratchet bindings, much easier to put on and they have a smaller footprint so a little easier to maneuver in. The past few days have been perfect snow and weather for snowshoeing. I gotta get out there!
  15. Sorry to hear this Cynthia, hoping for the best outcome.
  16. New is good - no one else's problem's to wonder about! Enjoy!
  17. Yes, I was just on the websites, looking at the zones. They say safe to zone 5, but I am on border of 4 and on top of a hill with Northern exposure where I would plant. I am actually looking for chestnuts or crabapples. Who is "local " or northern that you would recommend?
  18. Just saw an ad in the QDMA magazine that advertises late season pears, apple, persimmon and crabapple. www.wildlifegroup.com Never used them myself, but they have late season varieties. Be sure they will survive in whatever Zone you are in.

    Big tiger musky.

Good for him! I hope he eventually breaks the record.

    Ice Fishing

Get a Hummingbird Helix 5 or 7 All season package. You need a new fish finder on your boat so you can zero in on those gills in the weeds and you’ll have the ice transducer too. https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/fish-finders/ice/ice-helix-5-chirp-gps-g2-all-season
