We have 25 or so for Christmas Eve, “Feast of the Seven Fishes” , turns out to more like 15 or so fishes.... then Christmas Day is much quieter, just 4 of us for homemade ravioli, then stuffed venison backstrap and not sure what else... When my Mother died it was hard to continue on with everything she did, but now my kids talk about how they will be doing it the same way we are now. I’m sure there will be changes, but as long as they are together, that’s what counts the most.

I am doing a stuffed Venison backstrap on Christmas too, stuffing it with Gorgonzola, spinach and mushrooms though. Your recipe looks great too! With the walnuts and sage, I think a fruit based glaze would pair well.
