  1. Nice way to spend the day! I made a lamb neck roast from the lamb we butchered last Easter. It was the last cut I had in the freezer. No pics, but both wife and daughter gave it a rave review. Looking forward to getting another fresh one for this Easter.
  2. Looks like Crappyice spent the whole day in the kitchen! All looks great!
  3. Did you fish? How did you do? I went Friday and got 18 nice perch, about 6 of them slobs. Going to shoot for one more day this week before it is all slush.
  4. Chicken is meat, so no on that. I think even chicken flavor powder would be a no.
  5. I just saw a buck yesterday with both still on, one side was busted up pretty good. We have about a foot or more of snow still on the ground. Not ready to check for them just yet.
  6. Nice video and great finish!
  7. Poached. It’s awesome, believe me when i tell ya
  8. AH!!!! That reminds me of my favorite of all....Peas and Eggs. Sauté an onion, add a can of baby peas with liquid, add a little chopped tomato, bring to a low simmer for half an hour or so. Then turn up the heat to a slow boil and crack in a couple of eggs. Let them set up and eat it with good hearty Italian bread. King’s food! I eat the entire portion, mostly because no one else likes it,,,,,,
  9. We follow the Lenten sacrifices. And we look forward to it! Tonight we are having Pasta ala Vodka with Shrimp, on the stove right now. We have a lot of Pasta Fagioli, clam chowder, fresh fish fry, beans and greens, white pizza. Several more, we could easily do it for the whole 40 days. Clams Casino above looks great!

  11. There was crappy ice on my driveway this morning and I fell down and hurt my a$$. Damn you @crappyice
  12. Jerry, looks great! That reminds me.... I saved two roasts just for Corned venison to have pre-St. PAtty’s day. Almost time to pull those out from the freezer.
  13. Looks like a great time, I'm sure some of the stories from the night are untold on this thread - only to be repeated at future get togethers. Dom - so sorry to hear about your brother. I just had lunch with my older brother today. Life is indeed too short.....
  14. Finally got out yestersay for only the second time this season. Drilled two holes and stayed put all day. Enjoyed every minute of it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. Manley Field House or Skytop have large parking lots and buses up to and back from the Dome. You can hop on 81N, take 690W to the Thruway. It will be jammed everywhere, but Manley and Skytop will be your best bet. Either that or arrive very early, like 2 or 3pm, park near campus and eat somewhere up there before the game. It will be maybe $30 to park nearer to the Dome, and a lot more congested.
  16. Just a thought....instead of the wood box you made, could you use a 30 gal metal garbage can as the smoke reservoir instead? Put your vent in the bottom and cut another smaller vent up top? Less worries about toxic glues, etc. I have a small brinkman smoker and temps are hard to regulate, especially low slow ones.
  17. Well, here’s one “real Italian” (and Sicilian to boot) that has not heard of that. Looks delicious and I want to give that a try soon!
  18. Hmmm, what’s the bread roll there for? A clue or an ingredient? Chickpea bread?
  19. Bought some flavored popcorn on the way home last night for the wife and daughter. More than I usually do. We have really dialed it back over the years.
  20. I am a member of the Camillus Sportsman Club. I believe we have a 200 yard range. Never shot out that far so I am not 100% sure. It’s a nice club with the shotgun and rifle ranges, an archery range, an indoor pistol range (open 24/7) and trap and skeet ranges. If you want to check it out, you can come along as my guest.

I Love Pitch, but it’s more fun when you play according to Hunt Club rules - lots of Jim Beam shots every round. Classic. You bring the cards, I’ll bring the Beam.
