She'd probably say " You can dress 'em up, but you can't take 'em out"..........Hehehehehe.........

Yup...That was it....I tried to acknowledge that I was using YOUR material...One of the funniest posts I remember on the forum, in fact... I love the name of your taxi ( Bare Naked Mounts)....It just has such an APPEALING sound... Kinda reminds me of the social club I used to frequent down in Tijuana...Juicy Lucy's House of Pleasure...

Some of y'all might remember a few years back Wooly had a girlfriend from New Guinea who collected shrunken skulls.. He said that every now and then she would give him a little head...

What does that have to do with anything ? What reprieve ?? He was doing a sentence for what was basically an armed robbery charge., during which no violence occurred,, AND there were extenuating circumstances, since he was trying to reclaim property that had belonged to him.. I'm saying that doing nine years for that conviction was longer than most people do for similar charges ... I have no use for OJ and I think he is probably a murderer, but he was tried and aquitted of the murder charge and I believe he served a suitable sentence for the crimes that he WAS convicted of...

I suspect that with the fast burning powders that are PROBABLY used int he 17 HMR ( I am only guessing here) that the velocity loss would not be that much...The advantage of the 17 over the 22mag at longer ranges is due to higher velocity, however, with equal barrel lengths I suspect the 17 will still have the advantage at longer ranges..Also, the .22 mag has never been noted for gilt edged accuracy, while all of the 17 HMRs I have shot have been tack drivers..

The guy was tried and aquitted on his murder charge...Whether we think he did it or not ( I do) due process of law was applied and he was declared not guilty... Nine years was a long time to be incarcerated for the crimes that he WAS convicted of...

Milk snake....Probably the species MOST mistaken for venomous snakes here in NY due to the fact that they somewhat resemble copperheads and timber rattlers and they tend to be very defensive and strike readily if threatened..

At ranges under 125 yards it is probably a wash... At ranges from 125 to an honest 200 yards the 17 HMR has a definite advantage on game up to the size of foxes, although it may be a tad light for coyotes... Personally, I would give the A17 a long look for a truck/tractor gun...

Thanksgiving Day, 1968..... I left the house at daylight, heading down across the road, where there were many hundreds of acres that I had permission to hunt.. I heard my walker foxhound barking back behind the house..I looked back and saw a buck standing about 30 yards from the dog .... I walked back across the road, rested my12 gauge Ithaca deerslayer on the corner of the house right outside my parent's bedroom, and dropped the buck right in our vegetable garden... By the time my parents woke up, I had the deer gutted and hanging in the barn.. I asked my Dad if he heard any shooting close by...He said he heard a shot somewhere closeby...Hehehehe..My shot was within ten feet of his BED ... I had to load the guts in a washtub and take them away from the house..Only buck I ever shot that I had to haul the guts away..

I am not a long range shooter...However, I like to be able to use my rifles out to their practical potential.. I have killed several big game animals at 300 yards, and a COUPLE of them at 400 yards... The only rifle that I shot a WOODCHUCK at 400 yards with was a Ruger M77 tang safety 25-06... One of the most accurate rifles I have owned..I sold it because it was too damned heavy to haul around the deer woods..

I have 4 Leupold scopes...Every one was bought used, but in excellent condition.. The lowest I paid for one was $100 for a 1x4x20 VX I..The most expensive was for a fixed 6 X 36, which I paid $160 for in used but like new condition.. I never had a minute's trouble with any of them, but if I do I can send them to Leupold and get them fixed or replaced for nothing....I think I may have bought the 6 power from someone on this forum..Can't remember...

What shot size is appropriate for monkeys ? # 2 lead, perhaps , or #4 buck....Probably those nontoxic T shot would work like a charm, and they would not be toxic to the wood storks and buzzards that eat the dead monkeys..
