  1. Mike Rossi would especially love that pic....if only it were NY Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Did you try the balls? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Here’s where being a teacher really sucks- while i “have summers off” (hmmm....never had one of those for my 25 years teaching) and “only work until 3:00” (most days in normal non Covid years im coaching or Tutoring after school) I have zero control over my vacation with the exception of a hand fully of personal days to use (not connected to holidays and not used consecutively). One year the stars aligned for a late start to school and an early bear Maine hunt. My hunts either have to wait until retirement (that’s scary!) or I need to slot some adventures in around a calendar not set by me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Damn...wish I could but I am wrapped up this weekend. Good luck and enjoy your day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I suck at making (or remaking) wheels....care to share your email?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. What a special treat: Venison hot dogs courtesy of CHEF! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The process I follow comes from Randazzos Fish Market on Arthur Ave and is flawless every time. Good size pot to a rolling boil. Dunk and remove once; Dunk and remove again; and then dunk and remove a third time. Then return the pot to a boils and allow octopus to boil for 25 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit in the water for 1 hour. I then cut into 5 sections-head, 2 legs(x4) and then drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper and let marinade until I grill it(high heat for a few minutes per side). Squirt of lemon to finish and right over a salad. Hell it was even tender cold the next day over a lunch salad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Final hind quarters cut up tonight from my 12/31 spike. Clockwise: Shanks, football roast, to be ground, roast for cutlets, hidden tender, roast for cutlets. Feel free to tell me the actual names of those roasts some can promptly forget them again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I do put some of the standard evercalm on my boot treads when walking in especially if I have to cross areas unknown are heavily used by deer. The spike as the end of the season this year walked my steps to his demise. And while young and dumb deer do dumb things, last year’s good 7 pointer followed my line too. 10. Disgusting, but typical of Philly, display of character. Bad enough that Giants fans had to suffer through a Giant/Cowboy game with Buck/Aikman on the call. Those two asshats can’t like the cowboys or hate the giants more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. #7...are they insane!?!? High Life is the clear winner...I would also like to see Black Label(especially the long necks) make a showing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Busy cooking day to get ready for school lunches Chicken cutlets Corned Venison And dinner tonight for me...grilled octopus Kids had wings, fries and nachos (no pic needed for that!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. However, if you get to sleep with that as an aid, you may not feel the pain. Just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Anyone ever try any of that copper fit gear? I’m always curious yet leery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Melatonin is a beautiful thing for sleeping Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have trapped a few skunks each year who like to try to live under my shed. Never a problem with the blanket over the top(I hear they can’t spray cuz they can’t raise their tail), right in the trunk of the Equinox (may be trying to subconsciously wreck this car since I have never liked it); and live release in some more appropriate woods(sshhh-don’t tell) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Entry to the woods across the creek Exiting the woods(monsta buck in gator) We also prepped a logging trail to the back of the property that allows us to avoid crossing any fields. Could be a game changer for morning hunts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Awesome pics...I guess Santa forgot the “two front teeth” for Christmas!!!! Your boy is a champ!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hahha....Air fried bacon wrapped inner loin with a nice rose or sour beer would be my final meal...I’d off myself before eating it!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Do the cameras that send pics to your phone “count” as checking your traps in the 24 hour period? I think I know the answer but that would get more people in the trapping game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Did you smoke it? What wood? How long? To what internal temp? Also...I think I should remove mine, 2 2pounders, from the brine tonight (went in Monday) but won’t cook until Sunday. If I’m Looking to freeze one for later cooking, should I freeze it before or after next cooking? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. What’s everyone’s feelings on hanging skinned deer (in a mesh game bag and under pine trees) in 37 degree temperatures in the RAIN? That’s my current situation. It is in no way getting soaked due to the overhanging pines but do I need to worry about rain water and hanging skinned deer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have two in the juice now...thinking they are good for Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Me! This is exactly the deer I wanted to harvest yesterday...cause he showed up and I had a proper tag and an empty spot in my freezer! Good to see you FSW - I do mean that. We differ in our motivations but I respect your game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Atta boy...have a day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
