  1. Courtesy of the FULL MOON Steel cut oats, corn bread with hot honey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This is it for me too. I am also not a “steak guy” and would select a nice stew, chili or meatloaf over a steak. As a result, I can get most of my favorite food from venison since once ground, it’s on par if not better (because I control the fat and cleanliness) than ground beef. Wild turkey (except the booze one) and pheasant are nowhere close to store bought Turkey or chicken which is far superior….quail however are fantastic and kick the crap out of Cornish game hens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This steaks on the left under the dogs pile Look amazing! my issue with aging is all that “dark” covering has to go in my mind. Or, does it not? The shanks would be trashed and the whole outer layer of the football would be trashed as well as the tip end of the roast below the shank. Am I wrong-is all that still good to eat? 4. That’s crazy man, and I am sorry that it came from a place I (and Biz and chef) recommended. I will say however that I hoped for you to see Dave who you said left the shop. Now I need to find a new shop or track him down again!!! Sounds like human error to me on the part of the guy who put your bow together Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Your negative response to my sentiment makes me think I am more right than ever before! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I caught a striper in the Hudson courtesy of the outlaw chef - lived here my whole life and never did that before. Landed and ate some nice brown trout from some local waters (usually just release them but what a treat). Ran another successful summer camp (my 30th summer at the same place) for kids, saw my kids compete in baseball, football, crew regattas (Head of the Charles is sick!), field hockey, and musicals(yes-that’s competition). Jumped down to Nashville with my bride of 20 years… Atta boy @diplomat019 Hell of a job setting this on the right course! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So funny you remembered: Shot last minute Sunday by my buddy (heart double lung- ran 25 yards and piled up). From shot to field dressed was 45 minutes….skinned and inner loins ripped out within 3 hours of walking. Wrapped in plastic and stored in the fridge until tonight. Salt pepper seared in cast iron (Lodge) on all sides and then 5 minutes in 400 oven…10 minutes of rest. Cooked perfectly for me…served with a Mexican casserole(ground venison, rice, beans, peas…) and cornbread. It was fine. I would do that again with any clean kill, quick processed deer. Any hint of tarnished meat on the inside…nope! It is not as good as the backstrap and I would still enjoy a venison meatloaf or venison Philly cheesesteak more. Full disclosure…I am not a “steak guy” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. And having civil discourse with people like you clearly identify for me how NOT to think! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Here’s what bothers me since you asked! A member’s Ideology has zero to do with how I feel about him/her. How one carries themselves in conversation (or some feel conversion) is the part that is ridiculous. I disagree with chef and lefty a bunch but would rather discuss topics with them then sit in a room with people preaching to a majority choir and not listening. Listening…not agreeing….Just listen a little and then respond. And regarding crocs, they have no place in deer camp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Might I suggest using the pointy end of the swingblade….that rounded side made her super angry!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Is that your basement? Sweet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have not done this yet but should…strap a whistle to my harness to blow in case my cell phone is out of reach or dropped. Most spots I bow hunt are close enough residents or buildings or hiking trails that would pick up a whistle sound Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hot damn that’s some structure to survive such a direct hit from a large tree. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. And some woods sometimes!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sounds like @turkeyfeathers needs a SENY GTG if chef lets us take our masks off!!! Will Jeremy K come ?!? I promise chef will be there and I will bring Jerky’s jerky and White Castle!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Beauty…but ask Pygmy to take you to Mabels to see unsurpassed glory! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. What a waste of great generosity of a member to give you those pans…it’s a shame they don’t get to preform-gathering rust in your cupboard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Perry Cuomo…not related to the scum, granny killer!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have Lodge…small (2 egg) and large pan plus a stew pot. Love them but I wish the smaller one was a medium. Quality is great. Little Kraft “hamburger helper” with bacon this weekend at my buddy’s cabin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. My kids crew team moved indoors and if double vaxed they can be maskless as they use the machines…7+ kids and one coach popped positive with typical flu-like symptoms. If life was normal, these kids would lay low for a few days and be back by Wednesday…now the facility is closed, kids are locked down for ten days and families and siblings are all being tested having to be subjected to quarantine and missing events. My kid is not positive yet (nor was he tested) but did stay home today. May test tomorrow or Wednesday as his sister has a big musical this weekend and can’t catch a positive. Show just go on! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Buddy took a last second doe last night that I will process for him… inner loins have been ripped out, cleaned up and rinsed and in the fridge. Here’s to hoping!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yes…yes it do and I don’t appreciate it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Great stuff as usual! Tons of knowledge shared and the grit of an outdoorsman evident in every little step taken by the pups and handler! Enjoy the break! What do you to keep them entertained in the off season? Do they get overly ornery when not able to “work?” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. F this… Crappyice selects growsalot! BOOK IT!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
