Awesome Supreme Court Justice pic

After listening to both sides, I think both of them gave convincing testimony. So who is lying and who is telling the truth is very difficult to determine. We don't know anymore than we did at the start. The burden of proof is on the accuser and she surely didn't provide enough of it. One issue that sticks out in my mind in both of their testimonies is that they were both under age and apparently drank quite a bit on a regular basis. I have a feeling that one of them was plastered completely out of their mind and doesn't remember everything that happened with this alleged incident and probably numerous others. And it could have just as easily been Kavanaugh who doesn't remember due to intoxication as it could have been Ford. That is my .02 on my observation of yesterday's proceedings. -

I watched her entire testimony here on my screen, and I am sorry to say that to me she sounded very believable. I thought she'd be one of these rabid feminists that are out to destroy every man they could, but that is definitely not the impression I got from her. Maybe she gave an academy award winning acting performance and fooled me and the rest of the world, but somehow I don't think that is the case here. The democratic Senators questioning her on the other hand looked like complete snakes in the grass as expected. She looked WAY more dignified and honest than any of them. I don't know if this incident should disqualify him from being a Supreme court justice, but nonetheless Kavanaugh will have the task of his life to defend himself from the testimony that she just gave. And in this mid-term election year It could surely be a slippery slope for Republicans to vote him in if the majority of Americans end up believing her story. -
It's easy enough to have a deer sneak by you if you are fully engaged with your surroundings, if you distract yourself by reading a book it will be even more likely to happen. And having your ears plugged listening to music is even worse than reading in my honest opinion. There have been literally scores of deer that I heard well before I ever caught a glimpse of them.

That's judge Jeanine, not judge Judy. I have a hunch judge Judy would have a little different take on things here. LOL In today's world you could set your watch by what someone's opinion will be since everyone tows their own parties line. -
What Could or Possibly Also May Be in your Hunting Area

LOL. I was just going to say that TwoSeventy needs to worry more about men in white coats than he does about hairy critters roaming the woods! -

I would say NO, it doesn't disqualify him. He may have done something quite stupid, but he was technically still a minor. He obviously went on to succeed in life and make something of himself. One stupid act shouldn't condemn someone for life. From what we heard so far he is not being accused of rape or anything as serious as that. -

I do agree with you. From what I have seen and heard from Kavanaugh, I like the guy. He seems like a straight up, no nonsense kind of guy. It's crazy that someone is coming out of the woodwork after all these years, but it seems that this is in style as of late. Someone comes out and accuses you and then you are doomed. Are the democrats paying this women here to try to bring him down? Who knows?? All I know is that the other side is probably capable of doing the same thing if the nominee wasn't to their liking. Simply insane that everything has to reach the gutter these days. -
Then your morals are WAY below mine. You have my sympathies.

Yeah, he was picking her up and you two bozos were drooling all over her with your tongues hanging out . If I ever catch my son showing off a picture like that, never mind posting them on the internet I'll be sure to give him a good kick in the a$$ and smack upside the head. Take this any way you want. That's how I feel about it. I also have a daughter and any clown that would post unrespectful pictures of her on the internet would get the same treatment, be it partly her fault or not.

Everything in politics is an absolute circus these days. To be honest there is little difference on both sides. The republicans were just as freaked out over Obama when he was in office as the Democrats are now over Trump. Same $#!+ quite frankly. -
I am assuming by downstate you mean the Catskills or Hudson valley regions. Well, there is quite a bit of state and DEP land around the Catskill region, but the problem is that there will not be many DMP's you will be filling since not very many are given out in that area. So, especially for someone like you who will be rifle hunting, the likelihood of filling too many tags will not be great. Throw in antler restrictions which is the rule in the region and hopes diminish even more. In my opinion downstate is good for bowhunting and the short ML season. If you are strictly a rifle hunter wanting some meat, better look elsewhere.

It amazes me that there are hunters out there who don't even realize that there was no such thing as food plots for deer not too far in the past. It seems like many think that it isn't possible to kill a deer without food plots. I've got some news for these folks! Although they probably won't want to listen. LOL

Just saw this. I tell you. If there was ever a need for a thumbs down on a post, I think this has got to be it!!
-
I thought I remembered reading that big game hunting in Nevada had a strict quota system, and it was virtually impossible to get tags over the counter. I think the linked article below pretty much confirms this. Without a lot of prior planning and applying one won't be hunting the big stuff in Nevada. https://lasvegassun.com/news/2016/may/30/a-guide-to-huning-in-nevada/

Have no clue, but give Wolc a few minutes and he'll tell you. He is digging out his PA bear girth chart at this very moment. -
Thinking of gun season with Muzzleloader
steve863 replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Muzzleloaders
The thing is that pellets in most cases are more than accurate to kill any deer walking at any reasonable range. That is why most people who aren't fanatical about accuracy, ballistics and velocity choose to use them. Just plop them down the tube and you are good to go! If they fall on the ground they can still work unlike loose powder. Try picking loose powder back up. -
That is definitely my take on things. I have been stopped at a deer checkpoint by the DEC at least once that I remember when I had a box filled with a quartered up deer. I did have the head in plastic bag next to the box and they surely didn't ask me to show any other proof of sex.
-
Yeah, so in this case will a hunter get fined for shooting a doe if he doesn't have a doe permit? Absolutely not. There was no way for the hunter to know that the antlered deer was a doe when he pulled the trigger if it had a set of antlers.

So they start in September and then the Stanley cup ends in the middle of June. How much of this could any human take?? Baseball, football and basketball are bad enough. I honestly wish I had all the time back that I wasted in my youth watching sports. I should have spent it on something more productive.

There were several stories just out about this in the last few days. It seems that the risks outweigh the benefits for seniors to take aspirin or it's equivalent on a daily basis. And one of the big risks is bleeding. Sometimes it doesn't exactly pay to follow doctors orders. They come out with some theories only to refute these same theories a few years down the road. Typically it is us who have to suffer through their mistaken theories, so we need to be careful on how much trust we put in their hands. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2018/09/16/647415462/study-a-daily-baby-aspirin-has-no-benefit-for-healthy-older-people

So, I guess This Is The Breakdown

And it will be the same in the general election, on both the democrat and republican side. This is why I REFUSE to believe that it is the urban vote that keep guys like Cuomo in office. Just look at the results of the election four years ago. The NYC vote was not that huge and Astorino really didn't lose by that many votes. It could be surmounted if everyone upstate votes against Cuomo. The key is to beat Cuomo in the general election. Even if he somehow lost the primary what difference would it have made if Nixon won and then no one came out to vote against her in the general election? She is probably even more radical than Cuomo. So far the Republican Party in this state has done JACK to promote Molinaro or give him any exposure. It seems like they have pretty much thrown in the towel which is pathetic. People won't be coming out to vote for him if they don't even know who the hell he is!! -
I find it quite sad that people don't have anything better to do with their lives than watch something like college football from morning to night. Professional sports are bad enough, but wasting time on something as irrelevant as college football???
-
Animal rights fanatics??? We were clearly told that it was the server.
-
Of all the players who have played, only few are in the HOF, so that is irrelevant here. Biz, you also predicted that Judge would be back in the minor leagues this season, so I won't take your predictions very seriously. LOL
-
By the way Biz, DeGrom was 26 years old before he ever pitched a game in the big leagues. Just wanted to point that out to you since you were going off on Judge last year for being 25 and only in his first season. A player doesn't need to break in at 20 to become a fine player and DeGrom is just another example.
