    Very easy to find ammo now, Target sports usa has most all calibers, you may not get the type you want but its there. Ill be using my Howa 1500 308 with 168 grain Berger hunter hybrids. They shot excellent last week out to 300 yards. Son either his 6.5CM or .243 with Hornaday soft points.

    My nephew will be out with me for the NY youth hunt, he shot a lil 8 last year 12 minutes into his first hunt ever. I told him don’t expect that to happen again lol. My son will be going out for the PA youth doe hunt again, he’s 10 and it will be his 4th season. He was successful at 8 and 9.

    I make homemade spaghetti sauce, then use tastefully simple pizzeria seasoning when I make pizzas just sprinkle on the sauce . Battalingi dough. my Gma’s sauce recipie has chicken, spareribs, sausage, and meatballs all cooked in the sauce over 4 hours so it has a ton of flavor. I make it in bulk and can it.

    I had two deer drop, get up and run with sst slugs. I don’t recommend them. Fusions we’re the best slug I ever used.

    Elite energy 32 27” 65lb some tru ball trigger release victory v force v1 350 spine with 50 grain insert, nocturnal, 4 blade Magnus black hornet serrazor. I sharpen them religiously with a stay sharp system till I can shave and they are mirrors. I find these blow through deer and even shoulder blades with my shortdraw.

    A lower, without an upper, is not a semi auto. Sell them this way.

    Howa is a damn good rifle for the money. Same action as weatherby, hard to find a better trigger outa the box at this price range. I have a wood stock 308

    In my experience matthews ran long. I have not shot the newer ones though. Only way to find out is to set it up and adjust it. Should t be any fees to change it at the shop.

    Spent about $18 on stainless hardware and chain. I just set it up and jumped in it. Guess it’s paint time. (I need to get shorter bottom stainless bolts first I got the wrong size.)

    Does he have the box and original choke tubes? That will bring a lot more than without.

    That was the pull up rope for my bow lol. old clothesline. stand is 12 or so years old, was left out a few years and brought in a few times. cable was rusted under the rubber. I usually pull my hang ons each year and change straps often, However sometimes life gets in the way. I will be replacing this one and the ones like it with chain. Bottom line is wear safety equip. This would have been real bad cause my family was out of town and I didn't even tell anyone I was going out.

    Was moving stands today, Hook my stand up, hop up in it, SNAP. Thankfully i was wearing my harness and linesman belt with rope man 2 properly! I was lazy and forgot to pull this stand last year, check your stuff, and wear your safety gear! this woulda hurt.

    All three gobblers have shut up, but the other hunters are still at it with their call in the same spot they’ve been in all morning, I took the long hike out and am tapping out.

    Welp I had 3 hens come through then a stand off with a gobbler at 70, guys awful calling spooked him off after 30 mins

    5:30 some people came in on an atv and made the worst yelps I’ve ever heard, bird shut right up. Awesome
