    Taconic 909

Hmm, 909...LOL that's why they call it Taconic 909...very popular with off road biking I did few trails myself as well but for hunting... I would pass...
  3. There is no such thing like "gun only".... lesser implement is always allowed, just make sure you use the right tags..... that's all..
  4. I do sometimes, but it seems always crowded when I get there...One good spot is way up north where no one goes, but then again if you hit something that would be a long a$$ drag through the hills.... so you take your pick... Later in the season it gets better but still too many people for my taste. Avoid the lake residential area....

    Taconic 909

Forget it, that place is a zoo..... opening day don't even try, with all bikers and dog walkers this is not good hunting area....Avoid it if possible....it quiets down as the season progresses but still I would go there... my 2 cents...I go there sometimes in January at night for some predators hunting, but that's about it...

    Nocturnal

I see the same things Doc is seeing, only nocturnal movements, you can find them crossing the main street at night like its cool. I hope for colder weather and rut activity, then all bets are off...
  7. You can't fix stupid unfortunately, there is always one genius a year that does that....amazing....I hope they revoke his hunting license permanently....
  8. Low movement here in Dutchess too... fewer shots also year after year, not sure what's going on... people stopped hunting or the deer adjusted to night time only... I do see them though, I hope to see more tomorrow :-)

  10. An interesting conversation :-) Honestly when you have to go you have to go but yeah cover it up a bit I would say... no big deal crapping in the woods its all nature afterwards...lol
  11. Wow, yeah I would think they would sedate that buck and pull them out of the water first, but like you guys said, we were not there...amazing video, thanks for sharing...
  12. Nice deer kid, cherish this forever... Good learning from Papa I see :-)
  13. Dutchess County.. It says it will be 32 at daylight and 58 during the day...WTF? not my idea of an opening day... how is it by YOU????
  14. Just judging based on size (diameter) it must have been a big a$$ doe....lol, I vote for a buck
  15. Hot soup for lunch when its cold and stay all day....
  16. Normally one hour before legal light... leave some time to hang the smellies and spray some trees....

    all day sits

Opening day only if weather permits, but I don't really sit around at about 11-12 I walk around and get back to my stand about 2-3 until dark hundred. The rest of the season I skip mid-day and usually have one spot for mornings and another for evenings.
  19. Rage and Shwackers for me.... they never disappoint ....
  20. Scopes here on rifles and shotguns, muzzy is an old school iron...
