Two days & a wake up - forcast isn't so dry but compared to last year when it rained for 6 days straight - bring it on.

Makes me glad I own a chainsaw & splitter. I used to have a small operation in the back yard, combed craigslist for firewood - people with trees down, process it then just take it up to camp. Not no more, at least for now.

This is from the DEC, noticed an ad placement in Outdoor News: It is illegal to bring untreated firewood into NYS It is illegal to transport untreated firewood over 50 miles from it's source. When transporting untreated firewood within it's source, you must carry proof of source or you may be subject to a fine. As of July `11, 18 counties in NYS are under EAB Quarantine, which further restricts firewood transport. www.dec.ny.gov "firewood"

I'd agree with that. Having said that the harness I got with the Gander stand is not obstructive and has decent slack. Come to think of it i find myself using it more then the one I paid 80$ for.

An unfortunate incident. Know what else sucks? - Before you can see a 2 minute video, how about a nice annoying 30 second advertisement? I hate that crap.

About 3 weeks bow nz/sz few days nz muzz then at least a week reg season.

Alright - 1 week to go & a wake up! Who's got a yellow tag(s) & who else is goin? Bow is on the money, practicing with the 3-d, 20-30 yards & elevated. Clothing/camo washed & treated. Camper is ready to go - supplies, firewood - enough to cook a horse. Spare boots, lots of dry socks, jazz like that. Would be cool to write this tag then just camp out untill the 1st. Just like a whole new opener, got that week off to. We'll see how my luck holds out, tell you what been waitin for this & I'm ready. This is what we do, to good hunting!

Well, if you have a youtube account you can leave a comment & at the end theres 3 advertisers to contact and express concern. Unprotected, varmint, pest or not, that was terrible.

Cabin Fever; That looks like quite the platform! Why enclose it? I mean, untill the heavy snow flies the blind is an excellent shelter. Wondering did you use straight 16' 4x4's & where did you get the angle bracket - braces? edit - you could put a runner over one end to another & tie off the top of the blind.

I've had woodchuck & frog legs, can't say I was crazy about them. Raccoon - I'd have to be damn hungry. Possum - muskrat, I don't think so.

I use an SD/USB card reader, can use it like a flash drive. Hopefully next years budget buys some cams so I can use it

I don't do it on public land; I figgure every other clown is making enough noise so I try to catch the trffic either way. Also, some clown might try to stalk.

Perspective; sometimes I like a good haddock sandwich, other times I drive by the place cooking them and want to hurl. Few years ago out on a Fall Turkey hunt I was getting close to where I wanted to be, and then the coffee & breakfast caught up with me. There was no stopping it, barely had time to gear down. After business gearing back up some deer about 100 yards off downwind got a snoutfull and went absolutly balistic. Other times I can remember seeing deer sniff right where I drained and not seem to care.

The broccoli & cabbage would be enough for it's own scent production, I'd smell like death the next day alright.

We might buy alot of weird things for hunting but I struggle spending 10$ for a 1oz bottle of piss.
