Got a snow-freezing rain blast where I am as well (6k), most of it was gone by Sunday.

Warmer days I have a set of ultimatecamo - treebark pattern for the most part. Colder days I have a one peice jumper - older style treebark pattern.

The word 'deers' drives me nuts. Probably just a peeve. Anyone else remember the movie Mimic? It could happen.

One of the first things I did when I got into my lease was get to know my neigbors. Infact have become friends with one & we help watch each others place. Finally, have cell coverage in the area. Need to remember to get some eco #'s in the book.

Flashlight option is a quiet signal. Nobody realy likes having their hunt interupted by someone else comming in but if your there first and they are not shmucks my guess is there's another spot for them to keep things safe.

A few years ago I picked up the Bow - then an NZ lease. Truth be told I haven't hunted Turkeys in the Fall (on purpose) for 2 years now. Just in the Spring. There, I admited it, guess that's Step 1. Doesn't mean I'll quit drinking, and my freezer is full

Haven't done an all day sit in a while, but with all the leaves down it's like walking on pringles so it's tempting. By the way while in Herb Phillipsons the other day I saw a semi-compact stanley that would be great for 3-4 cups or some hot soup. Picked one up just in case.

Hunted and lived (mostly) in NY my whole life and never filled a Bear tag. If I took one I would probably be quite carefull processing it.

I think one of the reasons pigs wern't here sooner is because of the no feeder rules in NY.

Dude that's nice from the ground - good hunting. I always wanted to try a Turkey hunt w/Bow from a blind but I can't seem to get set right for a shot unless most of the side is down. Btw got a pic or any details on how you mounted the camera to your set up?

Just thinking outloud but if your in fresh tracks and other sign your local deer may be nocturnal, at least in a transient way where you are. Any idea where they may be bedding? maybe you can close the gap a bit. Edit to add; Any apple trees near your spot or if not for next year how about a plot to help try and get them around more.

Tried the hearts, too chewy. Tried the ribs, didn't like them. Liver from a deer - guess I rolled a few too many gut piles to even want to try it.

All I ever wanted, was a whitetail buck with a laser beam on it's frickin head. -
If it completly unthawed then I would be bummed. You can safly refreeze meats if they only were partly unfrozen. Hey if you pick up a 400w inverter you can use your vehicle as a generator of sorts for an hour or so a day.
