Simple request

This is another reason by the courts should throw it out. He had to us Message of Necessity as it was the kids. I think the found out they can't build a system. How are the going to background check people from other states? I believe Cuomo though that they could just use the NICS. I do believe is was delayed until after the election on purpose. -
NCAA, paid college athletes, unionizing
HectorBuckBuster replied to nyslowhand's topic in General Chit Chat
If you noticed it seems that the athletes that do make it to the pro's seem to have very short careers now. I think part of it is by the time they get to pro level some of these kids have been playing for 15 plus years. These athletes that get a full scholarship should jump on it and get there degree then worry about going pro. I know they look at the money, but how many pro athletes are broken with in a few years after they retire. -

Shipping ammo?
HectorBuckBuster replied to MrGroundhog's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The data base/background check was put on hold, because it is not setup ( I think it was put on hold till after the Nov elections) but also have a real feeling that the state bit off more then it could chew with the data base and it will never be up and running ( and millions of dollars will be wasted). Most Ammo places won't ship to NY unless its to a FFL dealer which are charging between $50 and $70 to do the transfer. The law states commercial transfers most be face to face. So buying ammo say ammo from a individual is legal. -
Zemmer18, yes 10 round mag's are legal in NY now. I don't think you can ship a pistol with more then a 10 round magazine to NY unless you are LEO. Remember we are just average citizens as NY has created a special class of citizens that can own large cap mag's and guns with evil looking black guns with features.

My experience with a forester do not get one that works for the logging company that maybe buying your timber. I had a forester for a logging company trying to rip me off on the timber. If you are a gambler find a logger that does a split.

If you lease to a farmer it is by the year. So say you get $70 and have 50 acres you get $3500 a year from the lease. Also NY State requires a 5 year lease also if you lease, if you do it yourself you need to have $10,000 a year income from farming.

Four Seasons - How is someone making $80,000 grand on a few deer? Is that from hunting of deer, selling breeding deer off, or sell the meat ?

OK, I own 200 acres of land with about 167 acres tillable. I had a forester come in and mark tree's from a lumber company they called me with a bid. I just laughed I counted over 235 tree's and they only wanted to pay $12,000. I know my tree's I had at least 30 walnut trees which 5 where at least 3 feet around and tall with no branches, then I had lots of white/ hard maple. I turned there offer down. They call me again saying they may have made a mistake and under estimated the veneer. I said they would send a settlement check when it hit the mill, I declined. I found another logger that was lucking for Walnut only. Met with him and he works on a percentage which was 70/30 on veneer 60/40 on saw logs with the land owner getting the higher percentage. So I went with him. He cut 29 walnut tree's and the winning bid was $13,000 before the split. So the 29 tree brought more then what the other company offered. In the end I ended up taking a total of a 100 tree's (as I sold some hard maple ) and the total for those 100 tree was almost $25,000, and after the percentage split still was $18,000. Also I lease out my farm land and get $70 a acre.

So if 7 rounds was unconstitutional why can we only have 10. It does not make sense. So it is 10 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber legal ?

I seen people buy cigarettes at the store with the EBT card, they just use the cash back option. -
Bummed about getting rid of my truck.
HectorBuckBuster replied to Hunterny28's topic in General Chit Chat
I love my truck. I am looking to get a little beater car again. But 2 weeks ago when we got the bad snow and I look out my window and see a little Honda Insight get stuck in the road because the snow was so deep it just stopped the car and he walks over to my house to have me use my gas guzzler truck to pull him out. -
Help Me Make An Honest Offer...

I know the going rate for hunting lease's is $20-$40 a acre in my area. -
NY does not have a open carry law, so that is a no go.
-
Its concealed with NO restrictions, Schyuler does not issue Hunting/target carry.
-
Daveboone, in Schuyler County all they issue is concealed carry or premises. I believe Chemung Couny may also be that way. It took me 8 weeks to get my permit 2 years ago, and last year my wife permit only took 9 weeks. You have to love the "C" that is in front of my permit number.

I have run across 22 ammo on a regular bases. I have gotten it at Walmart, Bass Pro, Dicks. I even turned some down at the local gun shop one night as they where going to do a drawing, and 3 people really wanted them so I passed on entering the drawing so they could get them.About a month ago I was at Ithaca's Dicks and got a 1400ct Bucket of Remingtons 22lr for $79.99.

That state does not how The Finger Lakes National Forest. The Finger Lakes National Forest is part of the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont. The Finger Lakes Forest is the Only National Forest in NY.

DBHunter, if I have a Ar with a MR2 Mag lock I can have all the evil features by the way the law reads. But say I do have a AR with a MR2 Lock and say 4 evil features, and say a cop comes when you are out shooting or hunting or your neighbor calls the cops on you because they see you with a evil gun. The say the cop does not know understand the Safe Act and see just the 4 Evil Features and its a post ban gun he could charge you and then you would have to go to court. I am not saying it will happen but it could.
-
Stoneam, if you buddy just changed the stock and still has a threaded barrel or any other features its this considered a assault weapon.Law reads if you have a detachable magazine and ONE FEATURE.
-
Stonea, The way the Safe Act reads is if the firearm has a detachable magazine and is a semi-automatic and one of the following features, Pistol Grip, Collapsible Stock, Thumbhole stock, Forward Grip, threaded barrel, muzzle break, flash suppressor, bayonet lug, or grenade launcher its is considers a evil Assault Weapon in NY. So a Ruger 10/22 (has detachable magazine), if you add a thumbhole stock to it that is considered a assault weapon in NY. The MR 2-AR Kit does technically does make is not detachable so would a bullet button, but I can see some LEO arresting someone for these's because that NYS Police have not said yes or no if that makes the gun legal. The problem lies with the NY SAFE ACT and its very vague wording, no where's in the law does it state what a detachable magazine is. So you still could be arrested and charged and then have to defend yourself in court. IN California they stated a detachable magazine is a magazine that does not need a tool to remove it, and the CA courts ruled that a Bullet was a tool so the bullet button is legal.
