I heard they release birds at the Iroquois swamps on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also heard you can't hunt them there those days. Not sure when or how often though. So in a nutshell.....I'm not much of a help am I ?!

Perfect pairing. Venison steaks cut into bite sized pieces , half onion , bacon sautéed in cast iron with a pat of butter. Little dry rub. Cooked to perfect medium rare. This beer has been in the cold cellar for a year. Love Belgian yeast. They know how to make beer.

That's a shame. What kind of acreage did you find these on ?

This isn't the oddest of all time but I find it funny. In laws got me this. Did you give or receive anything mildly entertaining or a wth gift ?

13 year old daughter got the Mrs. and I up at 6:30. Here she is with her Vera Bradley bag for ballet. Notice all the smelly bath stuff , body sprays etc on the table. A girlie girl who loves to hunt and fish with me. Has been putting night crawlers on her own hook since she was 4 , up and dressed for turkey hunting at 3:02 when alarm goes off at 3. Enjoys "bass thumb ". She's a keeper. It's wonderful to have her around but she's growing up too fast. Merry Christmas to you Larry and yours.

12-17-15 Also shot a decent six and a big doe the day before Thanksgiving with the muzzle loader This doe and about 11 or 12 more came ripping out of the dark pines below me. Still don't know what spooked them. Only had a split second to react. May have been buck(s) in with them but no time to check. I verbally bleated after picking out the biggest body I could see in that split second. She locked up literally under my stand. Quickly got the scope on her. She went about 10 yards Took off top of heart and pretty sure both lungs. Mile drag as a crow flies , fun. 2 hours later thru blow downs , brambles , beaver swamp and creek I had her to the car. Believe me that dragging two that other day really sucked. They'll all taste all that much better though. Tipped around 110 hours during gun and muzzle loader season in the woods. Just love my ml. I've killed more deer with it than both my slug guns. And dang Wooly , a fine buck and great photo as always. Wish I would have had a chance to wear my snow camo

Anyone been to Burt dam back in the day ? I've never seen such a trash pit. Gutted salmon for eggs thrown on shore , miles of 40 pound test everywhere, Michigan crickets hanging from every tree , garbage all over. Actually sorta turned me off from fishing for awhile. Can't believe there was so many slobs in one place

Mass cleaning for Xmas eve. This is well deserved. Founders Sweet Repute. Cellar pull. 2011. Wheat wine ale aged in bourbon barrels and bourbon maple syrup barrels 12.6% abv.

Fox are easy over the caller. Coyotes not so much. #4 buckshot works well. I couldn't get dead coyote loads to pattern out of any tube. Anybody who has ever called coyotes has used dying rabbit. Use something else. Pileated woodpecker, fawn distress , red fox fighting grey etc. Give them something different. Obviously play the wind , THEY will approach downwind Trying to pan the light and shoot by yourself nearly impossible. Hit them with the edge of your light. 20 minute stands and move. Expect the police to see your light and see what you're doing. Make sure you have something behind you to break up your silhouette. A motion like decoy will divert attention from you I even spritz a little rabbit urine on the decoy. When it's cold the reeds in mouth calls freeze pretty easily Snow camo is good but a white disposable painters cloth jumpsuit works Full moons and snow are perfect for no lighting needed. I'm sure I forgot a few tips but hopefully one or two help out. And the best is touching one off at 2 am in the morning. Anyone who hears it are like wth was that ? Good luck and post some pics.

CB longs ? I haven't seen those in years. CB shorts are the nuts in quiet. Neither would cycle the action of my Ruger 10/22 when I hand fed them. But dang they are quiet.

Buddy has sent me a few rabbit pics with the .17. Most are missing their heads. Not sure what ammo he's using but makes Stingers in my .22 look tame
