I'm aware of the law, couldn't give a **** less about it either. An age limit on a parent allowing a child to shoot a gun on their own property is the single most ignorant law that has ever existed! The way the law is written a child under 10 can't even shoot a bb or pellet gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That would be the least of my worries. I have shot deer out of fields that had trucks in the middle of them that got stuck that day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I usually pick my buck when I have about 2lbs of pressure on the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If the kids are using stands and don't have a harness let me know I have over 20 of them in a garbage bag in my basement. No need to spend money on something most people throw away! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have killed 2 and will never EVER shoot another. They are a pain in the A$$ but if I was mentoring a kid and a bear gave us a shot there is no way in hell I would tell them they couldn't shoot. If I had to hike it out 5 miles by myself that's what I would do for the kid! I shot my first one when I was a kid had no idea what to do but I cut it up after trying to drag it 50 yds. It took 3 trips about 400yds from the road ruined the rug but I got it out and ate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Every year I tell myself I'm not hunting much in October, and every year 20 or more sits during the first month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you don't know how to do it ask them about paper tuning. I would shoot the bow for a week or 2 before bothering tuning it but it is a must in my opinion. A properly tuned bow will shoot better with more consistency and efficiency. A property tuned bow allows you to pick the broadhead you want to shoot not choosing one that the bow will shoot. Reading all of these responses it's a wonder there are any hunting shows. Someone must like them because they seem to be very lucrative for a few. I watch them pretty regular. I watch them for entertainment not instruction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hunt the wind and spend all the money I used to spend on scent control on beer and chew. I used to be extremely anal about scent control and I now just hunt the wind and use common sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unfortunately for many now a days just asking isn't enough. I have a farm that I have sole permission to hunt their 1300acres. I stopped 1 day when they were chopping hay and told them I had a Cdl and would be willing to drive silage truck on my days off for permission to bow hunt. After the first year he pulled me aside and told me he is tired of dealing with people and that he has told everyone else not to hunt it and if I saw anyone on his property to call the cops. Now that it's been a few years he pays me and I still get to hunt it. I have another 500acres behind my land that is a privately owned landfill right after they opened I went and talked to the manager and told him that everyday I smelled the dump that I was calling dec, after 5 or 6 calls in a couple of weeks he came to my house to talk to me and I told him I could probably deal with the smell if I could hunt the property. He said no at first and a few days later he stopped by again and told me it was all mine to hunt as long as the harassment stopped. That was 3 years ago and I wave to him every time I drive past his office to hunt. It sucks that times have changed so much but you almost always have to have something to offer to sweeten the deal. I don't think I own any under armor apparel and know I won't in the future. Using hunting as a cash crop and then dropping it like a hott potato over PC bs is not what we need in this sport! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ran into a friend from high school today and we were talking and I found out he had started hunting. We chatted for half an hr and he was telling me that he hunted with a 300wby and was in his cousins camp in the ADKS. I asked him what made him get that gun and he said when his cousin invited him to camp he bought a hunting magazine and in the mag was an article about a 300 why mag so thats what he bought. It made me chuckle but it made me think back on why I use what I use and what made want to use it. When I was a young fella my whole family that hunted carried Remington pumps except my great uncle who had a 740 that always jammed. I can remember everyone ragging on him about cleaning it and it being junk. When I was 13 i milked a lot of cows and threw a lot of hay and I saved up money all summer and bought a brand new 7600 in 308 and a leupold Vx-1 in 2-7. That fall at camp I can remember that gun hanging on the rack for opening weekend and it looked so out of place hanging there with its barrel hanging out the end farther than most of the others. I remember sitting on the floor and staring at the racks admiring everyone else's guns, while I listened to the guys tell stories about bucks they had shot and missed. I remember there was only 1 bolt action a rem model 7 "I think" a few winchesters and Marlin levers a couple Remington autos a couple savage 99's and a Winchester 88 lever and all the rest were pumps. On are way home I told dad I had to have the barrel on my gun cut down like everyone else's and that week dad brought me to have it done. That's what started me on as a gun collector. I know own at least 1 of every model of gun that was on the rack that weekend 20 years ago. It's a memory I will never forget. It was fun for me thinking back on why I started with what I did and how I still love my pumps to this day. What does everyone carry in the woods and why? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My vacation this year is from oct 17-nov 29 and the 7th-15th of December my prediction is during my first block of vaca I will see rutting activity. My 2nd prediction is that it will start a week and a half earlier at my house than it will up at camp. I bet The 7-10 at home and 17-25 up north. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My reason for not liking them is I drag bottom for lakers a lot and got sick of carrying 2 sets of weights all the time. I have never saw more than a few ft of depth different on my fish hawk from balls to torpedos down to 130ft. I will run my sharks sometimes just because I have them tuned to run out if I'm going to run a thumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You will end up buying a few of each before you find one you like! I hate torpedos and only run balls. My buddy I fish with all the only runs pancakes. On another note if your going to get serious about it I highly recommend a a fishhawk or some other brand of probe for speed at temp at the ball. Extremely expensive but an invaluable tool for consistently catching fish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I reload for 30-06, 35rem 358win 35whelen 41 mag 44mag 45 colt and 10mm. My favorite load for the whelen and 358 is the 200gn Barnes with superformance powder. I'm 3for 3 with these loads 2 with the whelen and 1 with the 358. Combined tracking 0 ft I haven't had a deer take a step after being shot with those loads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about a blind? I don't hunt blinds very often but small food plots are where they shine in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
