In the stand got sprinkles and plenty of wind. Good to go cmon deer! -
I catch myself saying the same thing then I realize I have probably shot as many or more deer on crap days. Those nice calm cold days I think I'm gonna see a boat load and zip! Granted 40 mph sucks but 20 I'll be out. I am in a tree now I picked one in a lower area and thick. Crap weather also can help cover up noise, movement and smell better so you gain a bit too! How's that for glass half full!

Multiple scans I was diagnosed with NH Lymphoma when I was in my mid 30's. They told me oh yea this will get real warm in your groin and you will feel like you pissed yourself. They nailed that sensation! The chemo drugs I was on had a whole lot of other sensations that I would not rather feel again as well. But they did their trick. Been clean for many years now.

AMERICA'S HUNTERS Pretty Amazing! A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion: There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin... Allow me to restate that number: 600,000! Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the 8th largest army in the world. (That's more men under arms than in Iran. More than France and Germany combined.)These men, deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, And NO ONE WAS KILLED. That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania's and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, ALL OF WHOM HAVE RETURNED HOME SAFELY. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia, and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states. It's millions more. ________ The point? ________ America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower! Hunting... it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's also a matter of national security. That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed. Food for thought, when next we consider gun control. Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain... What army of 2 million would want to face 30 million, 40 million, or 50 million armed citizens??? For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns. (If you agree, as I do, pass it on, I feel good that I have an army of millions who would protect our land, and I sure don't want the government taking control of the possession of firearms.) AMERICA! Designed by geniuses. Now run by idiots. HOORAY – A 53-46 vote The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11: “CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT of ALL UN countries”. By a 53-46 vote - The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution. HOORAY. The Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms TradeTreaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S.,and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo. This is that brief, glorious moment in history when everyone stands around...reloading. Now, which 46 Senators voted to destroy us? Well, let their names become known ! See below . If you vote in one of the states listed with these 46 “legis..traitors”… vote against them. Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power. Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N.: Baldwin (D-WI) Baucus (D-MT) Bennett (D-CO) Blumenthal (D-CT) Boxer (D-CA) Brown (D-OH) Cantwell (D-WA) Cardin (D-MD) Carper (D-DE) Casey (D-PA) Coons (D-DE) Cowan (D-MA) Durbin (D-IL) Feinstein (D-CA) Franken (D-MN) Gillibrand (D-NY) Harkin (D-IA) Hirono (D-HI) Johnson (D-SD) Kaine (D-VA) King (I-ME) Klobuchar (D-MN) Landrieu (D-LA) Leahy (D-VT) Levin (D-MI) McCaskill (D-MO) Menendez (D-NJ) Merkley (D-OR) Mikulski (D-MD) Murphy (D-CT) Murray (D-WA) Nelson (D-FL) Reed (D-RI) Reid (D-NV) Rockefeller (D-WV) Sanders (I-VT) Schatz (D-HI) Schumer (D-NY) Shaheen (D-NH) Stabenow (D-MI) Udall (D-CO) Udall (D-NM) Warner (D-VA) Warren (D-MA) Whitehouse (D-RI) Wyden (D-OR)

11/11 pm high 50s Out back in the tower blind with my son for 2 hours. He got a shot off at a squirrel halfway through our sit and scared it to near death! Then about half an hour after that he spotted a small doe come in. She knew something was up but was acting 1.5 years old and coming closer to investigate instead of running away. She left and came back 3 times and finally it was dark and I wanted to get down without spooking her too bad. She had let out a soft blow so I blew back at her and that finally got her to take off. We had a good time. She was pretty small and my next doe tag needs to be on something over 100 pounds dressed. I have Friday off but if the rain is what they are calling for I may just work. Last weekend coming up then it gets noisy.

11/11 am Hunted down in the deep hole stand for 2.5 hours. I had a 4 point come in and work up the scrape for a good while. He milled back and forth for a while and then headed up the ridge. He actually snuck in on my brother in his stand and worked a scrape up there.

I did 120 hours just in bow last year. I am at 97 hours this year so far. I don't keep track of gun an ml hours but probably puts me at 200+ I work from home and can hunt out my back door before and after work most of the time. I also have another spot 5 minutes away. I have a wife and 2 kids and if I am not running them around, watching games and such I am in the woods. I have not coached in over a year, they are past my level coaching at this point. And my wife new I had an addiction before we got together a long, long time ago!! And my son well he made his longest sit with me last night and will be old enough to shoot a deer next year.

As I was eating up some fried heart in butter last night my son and I agreed that would be a darn shame messing up a heart by shooting it![emoji15]

I love in the grey light of early morning when a big owl swoops in and lands in front of you looking at you like your its next meal! -
You and Luna are on a roll and keeping very busy!! Not only are you putting down some suffering deer and making some hunters happy. I bet these hunters you are helping are learning a lot on what happens after the shot. What to look for and the decisions to make. Well done you two!!

Way to go Grow! Your having a good bow season! How many acres do you have and how many stand sets. I envy all the choices you have. I get sick of staring at the same trees! I have started to name them as I see them more than my family this time of year lol! -
Awesome and congatz!! My main concern is you even know how to spell that J kids name!!

11/8 pm 49 Just slipped out for an hour in the field edge stand close out back. Still feeling like crap. Snuck in and just as I put my weight on the stand it creaked and jumped at least one deer bedded about 25 yards away in the thick brush. Dang. That pretty much summed up no sightings after that.
-
Congratz to your boy eddie!! Any pics??
-
That's a dandy right there! Congrats

Slip into my field edge stand as soon as I touch the ladder crash! 25 feet into the thicket at least one deer was bedded and got out in a hurry! Headed towards the tower and my Bria stand but the boys are hunting my other prop today. -
11/8 am 42 Out back in the far stand for 3 hours and nothing going on. Was a nice morning. Cams are not showing a lot right now. They are suspect though I know they are missing shots. Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk
