Being the dedicated turkey hunter I am I set the alarm for 6am [emoji16] Hit snooze till 6:30, was walking in around 7:15. Saw 2 deer on way in. I’m sitting about 25 yards from where the nice 8 point was standing when I dropped him this past fall. I’m about 50 yards in from field edge. Did a little yelping see if I could make anything speak up. About 10 minutes later had a hen off to my side 60 yards putt by. Just hanging out now. Yea its a sad deal. I am sure moreso for her than my boy as he is not a fan of school anyway! It woulda been nice to see him walk across that stage to graduate though. Strange times indeed.

I can't seem to kill turkeys in any weather so I will enjoy sleeping in lol. I may get out over the weekend well after sunrise as turkeys are a rarity on my prop and I don't put to much effort into searching for them.

We have source it from a number of distilleries across the country for work. Prices vary greatly. I have found it for $20 to $90 a gallon. Most we have paid is $35. Some of these folks are highway robbery lol. $20-$40 is fair.Had on for every gallon you bought at $40 they would donate a gallon to first responders.

Crude oil is at -$36 bucks a barrel, yes that is a minus......Crazy.

Yea its $2.11 here. Buddy out west says numerous stations by him under a buck a gallon. We thought NY taxes sucked before. Wait till all this shit comes home to roost.

Man I don't think I have shot a chuck since I was like a young teen back in the 70s. Used a 22 mag of my Gramps. That gun was left to me and one of my most prized possessions. That was back when farmers let you access their property and appreciated you removing these pests.

I've had snow on the ground 3 different days over the last week. Also had a 63 degree day sprinkled in.... Typical CNY weather. Depressing though when your stuck inside.

The biggest disappointment is for my daughter who was going to do the coming fall semester abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia which is dunzo now. Numerous concerts and a ballgame or two and Ticketmaster is being a bitch. Already cancelled some work trips and a conference in Texas next month.
