Well...I had the best day in stand today I can remember. 15 deer including 5 bucks one being a beautiful shooter 8. I can't remember ever seeing that many deer in one day. Made a rookie crossbow mistake on a big doe out of a group of 5. Squeezed the trigger and whack bang...yup..crossbow limbs expanded right into the tree my stand is throwing my shot way off and bolt stuck right in a tree about 10 ft in front of me..lighted knock glowing away. Won't make that mistake again. Looking through scope not paying attention to clearance. Hope tomorrow is just as good...

Small buck (maybe the spike that came by at 7am) just came by dogging two doe. Way to far out of range. Was planning on going and getting something to eat and warm up...guess I will stick it out a little longer even though I am frozen

In the stand and set up about 5:45...small spike cruised through at 7 on the dot..I am freezing this am...heated vest already on high...hope I am not coming down with something...no way I should be this cold

I try to be in the stand and all set up 10-15 minutes before first light (not sunrise). The favorite part of my hunt is watching the woods come to life and I am disappointed if I miss it...

Grampy, I have the same phone. Its the Note 7 that catches fire so you have nothing to worry about with the Galaxy. It takes amazing pics (when I can hold the phone steady enough and I am not excited about seeing a deer) Scoutlook is a free app that I use and really like. You know you won't be able to resist checking in on this site while you are out in the woods when things are slow! Whoop, Whoop, evercalm and a new phone...all in a couple months! Be safe!

I believe this election was pretty simple. Not enough people could bring themselves to vote for a candidate that they know is corrupt. I believe that was the bottom line. Trump could have done a much better job if he didn't clown his way through and then become serious the last month.

I guess you have to count me as a paranoid right winger. While I agree with what you say...as of right now..today...what happens when we can't pay our debt? We are 20 Trillion in debt or about $58,000.00 for every man, women and child in our country. That figure is crazy and if doesn't scare the &%#$ out of you, it is my belief that it should. What happens when the bill comes due? 95% tax rate? Default and our dollar becomes like the peso? Yes that loaf of bread will $18299.99. (hopefully that is an exaggeration but who knows) Cut off every person in this country that is receiving benefits? Imagine the chaos. I have no idea when that bill will become due...10 yrs, 20, 50, 100....Its coming...When that day comes it won't matter what kind of bed you have made for yourself and all you have worked for......We doubled our Debt over 8 years...on the current path we will be at 35 trillion in 8 more or about $100,000.00 for every man women and child in the country....I am not sure we actually survived 8 years of Obama...the future is unwritten....

Voting for Trump was not against the Constitution. Limiting our 2nd Amendment right is.... Going against the Constitution without changing it = tyranny Doesn't matter what the voters want if it is unconstitutional, unless you forgot we are a Republic.

Uptown....Serious question... What policies of Trump are misguided? Repeal and replace Obama care? A law that has negatively affected every person I know Strong borders and national security? Adding SCOTUS that believe in the constitution? (you know, the document that has separated us from the rest of the world for 240 years) Ending tax dollars for illegal immigrants and support for sanctuary cities? Extreme vetting of any refugees that want to come to our land? Lowering the corporate tax rate (one of the highest in the world) so we can compete with other nations and hopefully bring back some jobs? Tax cuts for the middle class? Support for our veterans? Putting America first? Admitting we have a huge Islamic terrorism problem and taking the fight to them? An all of the above approach on energy? Renegotiating trade deals that have left us unable to compete in the world in manufacturing anything? Those are the few I could come up with as fast as I could type. What exactly is there to disagree with there? I would seriously like to know....

It has never been more obvious that the people are not listening to the media. I think it would be a huge mistake not going after them. I for one would be upset. Assuming there is evidence to convict. If a Trump team decides there isn't enough evidence. I will live with that. Otherwise...charge charge charge, convict convict convict.

Honestly I was expecting to hear of riots and social chaos this morning and although I am admittedly not watching the news, I haven't heard of anything. The R's still control the house and senate so anything that happens would have to be executive order. I would love a peaceful transition but don't see it happening. Only time will tell....

America lives to fight another day. I feel like it is Christmas morning. I can't think of another thing I would have rather have happen this year. Trump has a lot of work to do for sure. First time in over 30 years R's have had the Presidency, House and Senate. Let's hope they use it and accomplish something. First time ever our president was elected owing nobody nothing. That says a lot right there. I hope they get to work draining the swamp right away. Honestly, there are some Rino's that need to go as well. Pass ethics reform immediately and get to work. I will be the first to admit I didn't have a lot of faith in the voting electorate yesterday and was basically ready to give up on this great country. I was glued to the TV and my heart was sinking when watching the early returns with it showing Trump down in Florida. I knew without Florida there was no path to victory for him. Discouraged, I feel asleep on the couch in front of the TV knowing that my daughter would grow up in a much different America. I woke up about 12:30am to see that they had called Florida, North Carolina and Ohio all for Trump. I had a cautious optimism. I went up to bed where my wife was also awake watching the TV. I asked if she had been watching the whole time and she too had fallen asleep. We both stayed up and were elated when Clinton conceded at about 2:45am. I have no idea what kind of President Trump will be and I am ok with that. He seems to be on my side on almost every issue and the Supreme Court. The thought that we were going to elect the most corrupt person in politics was sickening to me. So I feel like it is Christmas morning and America will at least live to fight another day.

My guess on the wall is that IF Trump somehow wins which I am praying for. He is going to tell Mexico...You know all that $$$ we give you..You are going to immediately start using that money to pay us to build a wall. Otherwise you get none at all. In reality Mexico doesn't pay for it...we do..but it is money we would have given to them anyway...

I agree with you on this...the world will breath a sigh of relief and know that instead of having to make deals that don't hurt America they can either buy our president or just blackmail her with all the info I am sure they have but we can't seem to find. Scary Scary times

Uptown, what do you agree/disagree with on this election. I am truly curious. To me it couldn't be a clearer choice. What am I missing other than you think Trump is Hitler... Supreme Court Justices that believe the government is right...period VS Justices that follow the constitution. Light on terror and our enemies VS taking the fighting to them Accepting refuges with almost no vetting VS taking almost no refuges and extreme vetting for the ones we do. Lived life on the taxpayer VS Made a huge mega corporation and employs millions of people Took almost a billion dollars in campaign money (Favors owed) VS very very little campaign money so owes nobody. Double down on Obama care which is a complete disaster VS repeal and replace with something that works Trade deals that have screwed the American worker for 3 decades VS redoing those deals Green Energy, Wind, Solar VS an all of the above approach Open Borders VS Build a real wall and enforce immigration laws more taxes VS less taxes I mean even if you don't believe one thing about Hillary being a corrupt, lying POS. The differences are huge and I can't for the life of me understand why someone would vote for Hillary.

That is discouraging...I hope it isn't the scope because I believe you purchased it on my recommendation on another thread. The Nikon was a breeze to site in on my Barnett Gamecrusher. I was over adjusting at first because I just assumed it was 1/4 inch click at 100 yds but it isn't. It is 1/4 at 20 yds. A couple of years ago a buddy of mine was having a terrible time getting his scope adjusted on his rifle. I kept telling him he was anticipating the shot and he kept insisting he wasn't. I had him close his eyes while I reached around and either undid his safety or didn't undo it so he had no idea whether the gun was going to fire or not when he pulled the trigger. It was actually a pretty good learning experience because he was pulling the rifle so bad when he pulled the trigger you would have swore there was recoil even when the gun didn't fire. I laughed and said...no anticipation...hmmm....I would say you have some faulty equipment somewhere or you are pulling the shot...How were your groups before the new scope?
