I have only ever seen fleeting glances of coyote in the woods. I arrowed one today while it was stalking turkey. When I walked up to it I was surprised how small it was. My golden retriever is more than twice it's size. I can't imagine it weighed much more than 30lbs. Is that normal or is it a little one. I sure couldn't imagine it being much of a threat to a healthy deer...how big do they get?

Coyote down...heard a big commotion and there were turkey running everywhere...then saw what was chasing them....38 yds!!!

Momma and baby just came through...momma would have taken one to the lungs if this little girl wasn't with her

I wish either of those bucks would walk under my stand so I could see if I would pass on them. My guess is no....spikes and forks get a pass from me

I can't ever remember sitting in the woods and having it be so quiet. Absolutely nothing moving and not a breath of wind. Not even squirrels or birds...it's erie

Super upset I couldn't follow along yesterday. Didn't have service from my stand. Thought it was because I switched to at&t...Hunting buddy said he has no issues with att so I restarted my phone and now I have service. Sat all day yesterday and didn't see a thing...I will be here till about 10 this am....good luck everyone. Going to catch up on all the posts while waiting for big boy

Baby shower? That sounds like the perfect time to be in the woods to me even if its hailing all day...

I really wanted to get a mount for my phone. I looked all over but I didn't like anything I could find....I may try and get a mount for my phone and just mount it to my tree stand...I took some video with my phone last year...I had deer come out of the ravine to my left right at me and he was extremely wide. I got so excited, when he wasn't coming right at me I saw he was only a 4pt (biggest 4pt ever) so he got a pass and I tried to video him. I was shaking so bad you can barely make out that there is a deer in the video....never mind the fact that it was a giant 4pter.....

I may look into one of those next season. We will see what the budget allows when the time comes. I love the idea of having everything in one bag and scent free. Can you smell the ozone while it is running?

I hate snakes....I wouldn't touch even that little guy...I don't know anything about them but I thought head wider than the body was bad...

Its here.......should be home from work by 3.....I am going to run a few loads of wash with scent free detergent and then wash my hunting stuff. Lay it all out for the morning....Then I will spend as much of the weekend in my stand as I can. My daughter has a soccer game Sunday at 3. Hopefully I can get back in the saddle for the evening hunt...

Well I got home from work yesterday and my item was on the front porch.....All is well that ends well.... Thanks guys

Tomorrow at this time I will be sitting in my treestand instead of at my desk!!!! Can't wait!!!!

Only buck I have on camera is a spike horn....Hoping there will be more when I pull cards after my Saturday sit. I am not too worried though. Saw a lot of deer last year from the stand and very few from the camera. I guess my deer aren't picture friendly....

And of course....Today was another beautiful morning! Two days and counting....

I am hoping to run to the field and stream store today...I want to get a tree umbrella and some evercalm. Hopefully I will have time tonight to get my gear out and washed...Otherwise I will be scrambling tomorrow.

We have train tracks that run right through our lease....I have had deer standing in front of my stand when a train goes by....They don't pay any attention at all....

That's awesome. I wish my daughter would go out with me more. She is only 11 so I have some time. It would probably help if when she does go we could actually see something...

No derail here, just everyone excited about hunting.....

Turkey Feathers....By no means am I telling you what to do but you are really missing out on not bow hunting. I am 43 and I started Bow hunting maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I had no idea what I was missing. Last year I was upset when the gun season was starting. I feel like I started hunting 5 years ago and wasted the other 15...

And of course every morning this week has been beautiful with light wind and cool temps. If I can make it to my stand, I will be stiting in it....
