One of the best boxers of all time. He changed the face of the sport, I believe for the better. His political position(s) don't change what he did for boxing.

He was 'The Greatest'.

Happy Birthday Dom!

That one popped into my head before I even read your post, Grow. "Amazon Women on the Moon" is another one, but my favorite bad movie is "Shakes the Clown". I hate myself every time I put one of those DVDs into the computer. ;-]

Watch Saturn Shine on Friday, No Equipment Required

With a decent pair of binoculars you can even resolve the sense of rings. It's very cool, especially for the kids.- 1 reply

Wooly, I seem to remember you telling me you weren't any good at photographing birds in flight. -) Beautiful shots!

Larry302 is exactly right about the 'heeling' issue during the shot. It's a natural response with even small-bore target handguns, but definitely becomes more pronounced with the boomers. A solid rest will help you determine if the gun is at fault, or if it's a form issue. In my considerable experience with handguns, I've found that it's usually a matter of slightly adjusting the nut behind the trigger.

But it's not a problem when the 'domestic extremists' are produced by divisive Leftist rhetoric? The only threat this professor is concerned with is that the establishment of a global New World Order now has a vocal opponent expressing the concerns of a sizable portion of the US population. This entire article is a fine example of precisely what the author is railing against, but it's deemed acceptable because it fits the Leftist narrative. I personally can't think of anything more "extreme" than an agenda promoting the dissolution of US sovereignty.

I'm pretty sure they're the ones in the cottages, and using the boathouses I talked about. They're not friendly.

It's JMO, but a security/self defense handgun is not a hunting option. 9mm, .40 cal, even .45 cal are close-in defense weapons. 25 feet is considered a pretty good range for a well-grouped target.

In the grand scheme of things, I'd agree with you. I'll admit that I don't like them for what are mostly irrational reasons. I find them creepy, no matter how fascinating. There's one in the corner of my kitchen that seems to eat fruit flies. It gets a pass. But when you're working in a crawlspace with 6" to 8" of clearance and no way to flee or counterattack, or when one jumps into your hip-waders for no reason while you're chest-deep in a boathouse doing electrical work and starts biting you, I'm not so sure the fear is entirely irrational. 6 or 7 bites can wreck your day with the bigger ones.

Whoever said, "They're more afraid of us than we are of them." has obviously never met the nasty, walnut-sized beasties that inhabit the boathouses and cottage crawlspaces where I often work. I've been attacked and bitten on numerous occasions while simply trying to leave them alone.

I'd Work For Free & Bring Lunch For The Crew...........

Could be. One picture looks like some machinery on the arm that goes beyond a basic 'grabber' mechanism though. ?? -

Remember What This Weekend Is Really All About

I take my mom and my aunt to visit my grandfather's grave every Memorial Day. He managed to survive voluntary service in WWI, otherwise we wouldn't be here. He arrived here on his own from Italy at the age of 12 and enlisted at the age of 17 so that he could go back and fight against the oppression he had left. His idea of a 'safe space' was vastly different from that of today's culture. He died in 1972, and I'm just thankful I got to know him a little bit. God bless the patriots. -
I had a swing & a Mrs once. Does that count? Damn, I'm an awful person.

Change your name to 'DirtyHarryfeathers'. A sweet gun to be sure, but load data from my Contender wouldn't translate. Nice purchase. Go woodchuck hunting.

Harvesting fly-tying materials. I like it.

An old joke, my friend. No offense intended.

I hate to get really technical here, but are they little depressions or are they burrows? Have someone ready with a camera if you use your finger to check. Probably squirrels. Final answer.

Is anyone playing "Bernopoly" ?
philoshop replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
If it was anything even close to a level playing field within the DNC Bernie would be tied with Clinton at this point. Quite possibly ahead. The Democrats have managed to push the center so far to the left over the last 100 years that JFK would currently be considered a somewhat radical right-winger. And on the flip-side; Ryan, McConnell, Romney, et al, would likely have been considered Socialists in 1960.
