It's obviously not her first time at the rodeo! She did an awesome tribute to David Bowie after his death last month. That video has two insets showing her playing the background parts as well as the lead.

Trump Explained
philoshop replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Anyone in this country who won't say those words is an enemy to be eliminated with extreme prejudice. -
I don't work with shotguns, but there is a huge difference when it comes to rifle calibers in a handgun-length barrel.

Hunter safety course....fill up fast
philoshop replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
My brother called just the other day asking about the training course requirements. He was pretty happy when I told him that I still have his license from the 1970's in my file cabinet. I'll refresh his memory so he doesn't hurt himself. ;-] -
I exercised thoroughbreds for a trainer at Finger Lakes Raceway when I was a kid, (14 or 15 years old). It was hard work and damned dangerous during the winter, but I could make $500 on a Saturday afternoon. That was after I ran my trap-line in the morning, of course I think that job today has a minimum age of 21 and requires a couple years of college. And they no longer allow you to carry a small baseball bat to get the animal's attention.

Jimmy Lee Vaughan was on stage for the encore jam that night, along with Buddy Guy. Jimmie and Stevie had just released "Family Style". Stevie Ray was sitting on his amp, off to the side, while everyone else was trading licks during 'Sweet Home Chicago'. Clapton finally walked over to him and said something. Stevie Ray stood up and tore the place apart one last time. Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Lee, Robert Cray, and a half dozen other guitarists just stood there nodding and/or shaking their heads. Stevie Ray was actually that good that night.

Love it!! I'm often mistaken for a backwoods hillbilly, and I can do the Columbo routine when it suits my purpose. Traumatic work-place orthodontia over the last forty years has left me with a terrific "I'm stupid" smile. I don't bring out the doctoral studies in Architectural philosophy unless somebody really pokes me. ;-] -
Trump Explained

That would be wrong on many levels, but First Amendment rights are currently being suppressed to a far greater degree by 'the left' than by 'the right'. Twitter? Facebook?. Why would a sovereign nation ever accept immigrants who are vehemently opposed to the principles of the host nation? It strikes me as incredibly stupid behavior, and suicidal international policy. Witness the current situation in Germany, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, etc. The answer is politics. The anti- American invaders being welcomed into the US will vote for the anti-American party who welcomed them. -
What Andy thinks is what all Democrats think: Using other peoples' money (taxpayers') to increase your voter base is somehow normal political behavior. There's a wake-up call comin', and those folks aren't gonna be happy about it.

I've already said John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood is a given. Kurt Russell. He can be funny and he can be mean. And he's been sleeping with Goldie Hawn for almost forty years. I give credit where credit is due.

She was a class act. A perfect combination of dignity and humility.

The bugs carried me away several years ago and then sent me back on a diplomatic mission.

Trump is somebody I'd invite into my shop to share a box of beer with while we chew the fat. I can't say that about any other candidate. -
For some reason I have robins here throughout the year. I'm not sure why. They work in tandem during the winter to find bugs/food: one will flip a leaf out of the way while the other one goes in for the kill. It's comical and entertaining to watch.

Never, ever try to guess what the significant other will like with regard to paint color.

I generally use 5 round batches. Makes it easier to keep things sorted in 20 or 50 round boxes, and the occasional (becoming more and more frequent) user error is easier to see in a 5-hole group.

I think the "Bugbuster" scopes are designed for air rifle recoil. I've had one on a .22 for several years now and it's a lot of fun shooting CB caps at grasshoppers or dandelion stems. Paralax adjustment down to about 9 feet. ;-]

A software program that can be used instead of the books/manuals. Keep the books handy because nobody can hack them to change information.
-
I hope I can get back into shooting on a daily basis. I miss it a lot. I have new neighbors on both sides of me, and they're within the 500 foot rule. I just haven't had a chance to talk with them and get the official okay yet, and I gave up on the rimfire benchrest stuff a couple of years ago because my eyes just aren't up to that level of precision any more. Call the whaaaa-mbulance, I'm crying and complaining. ;-] I'm looking forward to your testing and load development reports Wildcat.

Some anti-gun bills coming up again in NY
philoshop replied to Grouse's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Before the tragic boating accident wherein all of my guns were lost, I had several loaded firearms scattered around my 800 square foot home. Adult visitors were told that every visible gun was loaded and that they were not to touch them. Children have never been welcomed into my home without a leash and an attending adult. -
If it doesn't pee on the carpet or roll in dead animal carcasses, you can keep it.
-
I'd say you have a winner there!
-
I'll always keep the 'book' manuals close at hand, but I do like the convenience of Quickload. I have another program for trajectory predictions that has always been spot-on. The images are clear Wildcat, proceed with mission. ;-]
