  1. In low pressure states I often feel like you would be better off with 10 fifty acres properties that one 500 acre property. In NY with that insane amount of pressure it receives I am not so sure though. I agree with the above that it pays to have a few properties in reserve .
  2. It's the perfect storm. A large amount of hunters accessing the same properties over and over again while an equal number of properties go unhunted. Then spread it out over a stupidly long regular season make it exponentially worse.
  3. Harry does fine work, you will be pleased .
  4. Top ten list doesn't scratch the surface ....
  5. Some of the highest hunter densitys in the country coupled with an insanely long firearm season and you described the results.
  6. 8 point and out west it would be a 3 point
  7. My safety tether and bow release lucky I had spares in my pack
  8. Western NY, west of 81 has very good/ read fertile soil composition, and generally better habitat. Couple that with slightly lower hunter density and you have the recipe for more deer. With tweaks to seasons and regulations western NY could be on par with many midwestern states
  9. Doe patrol again,we keep striking out. Seen four bucks so far tonight. No does in range
  10. I am not a liver fan. Except liverwurst....make liverwurst
  11. 8 days of 75-80 degrees turned this into not much of hunt. Passed a couple better bucks, and we decide to turn the last hunt of the trip into a meat Hunt. I got this little guy with 10 minutes left in the last day. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  12. That's a great bow. Mods arent that hard to come by either. 350 ish is very fair.
  13. We found about 20 or so two weeks ago in Athens, so that's not a stretch
  14. Hunting with a friend of mine. Havent put a hard number on anything really, I'm flexible
  15. Back down in Kansas Seen three bucks, the 10 this morning and two eights or maybe the same eight twice. Didnt get a good look at him the first time except to see he wasn't big enough. The last one 8 was bothering a doe one of a group of 4. Looked like a three year old buck. I never killed a big buck mid day dispite lots of all day sits. I really have no confidence in midday yet here I am foodless and backsore staying in all day again Passed this guy first thing this morning at 15 yards
  16. We keep a couple loaves of Itialan bread out all day with this and it gets eaten as we pass by. The older I get the more I revert to making food from my childhood
