  2. Might be mire truth to that then we think....
  3. This post sucks. Sorry but I have to call it like I see it. Declaring a loss Posting on the internet while you should have been trying to make a recovery. All seems way to half assed to me.
  4. The number one issue I have heard from hunters that no longer hunt is that they felt they lacked access to good hunting areas anymore
  5. John is great guy, know him and Jolanta for many years. Hopefully he feels well enough to take a track or two up this season. I always enjoyed the time I spent in the woods with him.
  6. I didnt know you were a member ....i assume you know John?
  7. More bowhunting, less regular season hunting. Still way way more pressure then any of the other states I hunt regularly.
  8. Excellent buck. Has he been entered?
  9. I'd spend as much as it cost to get the experience that I want.
  10. I just bought a T3x lite for my dad to use on our moose hunt in 7mmRM. I haven't gun hunted in years however I still shoot a bit. The TX3 was probably they nicest shooting gun out of the box I seen in years. I broke it in with two different 140 grain factory loads I had laying around. I then sighted it in with 162 grain horandy interlocks. They shoot exceptionally well out of the gun. My dad killed a nice moose as well. The action is smooth and the fit and finish is very nice. My original plan was to sell the gun after we came home as I have no need for another rifle however I been procrastinating all week... but I just might move it out. anyway I like it better then howa's I have shot and handled. Good luck in your choice.
  11. Yea looks different if I pull it up in the gallery. Neither look older then 3.5 , not much in antlers or body. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. The pictures are taken two minutes apart, I guess they can be different bucks ... in any event neither are loader then 3.5 from their looks
  13. It got shit canned, blame NY taxes.
  14. You can set the third axis on a sight that has the adjustment Any place that you can draw the bow back and raise or lower it at an angle. Other then that all you need is a straight edge like a corner wall or door frame. It takes all of 5 minutes.
  15. Yea standing flat footed in a hall. Very realistic to hunting situations . Do the same from 20 foot up a tree shooting down hill at a deer further making it a tough angle. Ever shoot up or down off a ledge? any slight cant will string your shot right or left into the cant without proper third axis adjustment. Same can be said for all the western hunting i have done, most shots are on an angle to some degree. If you had your answer already and "good enough" was going to be good enough for you no matter what then your just looking for self validation. That easy to find. Enjoy it.
  16. If you want your sight set up correctly to compensate for torque in up or down hill shots then setting the third axis is must. It's so easy to do with modern sights that have the adjust ....why wouldn't you? What's it hurt? Nothing ..it's fast and easy to do. Don't go half ass...do it right
  17. The best advise I can give anyone that wants to get their taxidermy back in a somewhat timely fashion is to use a professional who's only job is taxidermy. Pay a little more, employ a professional and in the end your much better off.
  18. Same here, guys hunt the same private 20 acres day after day while there's 1000 public acres down the road that sits empty most days. This thread is nothing but a whoa is me pity party. Is leasing the best model I can think of? No it's not however short of taking away private property rights I don't see how you can prevent it. It's like anything else in life some of it's good and some of it's bad
