  1. Thanks guys. Maybe I'll continue my search for a deal on three vx 2 Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  2. This is what I was afraid of, returning to zero correctly each time. I wasn't service on using this scope entirely. Maybe I'll just put it on the 243 instead. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. I haven't even taken it out of the box yet. Have to get a scope base for it still and then put it together. Hope it's more than friction adjustments Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. I understand it, thanks Steve. I used the same website/video to learn from. Sure beats holding over the target Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. I have only used the 1/4" MOA Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. That's what I had figured. But it's the first scope I've ever seen in 1/2" MOA Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Id like to set this gun up for long(er) range shooting using MOA. This will be my first setup to shoot long ranges without bdc or "hold over". I love the concept and figured out how to do so with 1/4 MOA .. This scope is 1/2 MOA so im guessing the adjustment "clicks" will be half of 1/4??
  8. Well I guess my decision for scope choice has been made, at least for now. My wife surprised me with a Leupold 4-12x40 for Valentines Day. She must know me pretty well, or is asking someone a lot of questions lol. I guess she still likes me!
  9. I've heard about the seeds and all the critters that will eat on it. This is new to me and if I can hide a couple deer in it, I'll consider it a success. Or promote more daytime activity that would be awesome. I figured the taller it got would depend on perfect growing conditions, fertilizers moisture etc.. my property is too open at the moment so I'm trying to thicken it up. Been doing TSI w/hinge cuts and removals. Trying to promote sunlight. Grow I do believe it is a sorghum. I think I read that somewhere. Didn't know if I should mix 2 or 3 together or plant one straight species. Trying to research as much as possible lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. Looking to see if anyone has planted much for plot Screens in the purpose for making deer feel more secured, protecting from road traffic or bedding purposes? I see a lot of sorghum and blue stem plant species for these applications and i think i am leaning towards a product called Green Screen by Arrow Seed Co. At first i was going to plant Evergreens but i think i like the idea of the tall Grasses better. I may plant the trees still for roadside purposes but for cover and plot screens i want to try this Green Screen or something close that has the same outcome. budget is tight this year. Im looking for the tallest possible, one plot is on an up hill taper and the neighbors can see it very well.. The Grasses in certain spots would be used as travel corridors as well leading to and from bedding/food/cover etc.. http://arrowseed.com/food-plot-seed/annual/green-screen-food-plot-screen/ Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
  11. It's a spot turkeys love to be as well, and the birds roost about 200 yards north and south of here Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  12. I call that food plot the "murderplot" lol. 1/2 acre plot between bedding and destination feed. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. My favorite plot for turkey is a Fall planted Forage Oat with White Clovers and Chicory. Especially come March and April the following Spring when this is the first to emerge. You wont be able to keep them out of it. Ill post the pics again.. Mow and maintain your clovers, Then just over-seed the grain of your choice back into it every late August/ early September. That way the grains will use the nitrogen produced from the clovers and not the weeds using it.. The plot in the pics is a Whitetail Institute Forage Oat Plus with White Clover mix. Then frost seeded that March with More White Clovers and Chicory.
  14. That sucks. I have that issue with bears. One of my strike force has held up from 2 seperate bear encounters so far. All of mine have taken thousands and thousands of pics and never ever seem to fail. Awesome cams Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. Browning strike force are amazing cams. Great pics wooly Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. I switched to the HHA optimizer lite ultra this past fall. So far I love it. But i really dont have much time with it yet. Enough to set it up and a dozen or 2 arrows afterwards. Switched from a 5 pin.
  17. I .like the idea of pure summer forage. but idk what kind of time i will have this year to do any experimenting or alot of projects, we are expecting our 3rd child at the end of June. So "Just in case", my intentions were to try and get a double whammy, summer forage(forage bean) and winter(AG) as well as maybe cow peas or iron clay.. Worse case if time lets me, Ill over seed some brassicas into them if they dont do well or get hammered.
  18. Damn wooly, you just robbed me of the top spot lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. Right on, this purchase of the recon would be strictly for video capabilities Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. Hmm oh maybe it was the difference between the platinum model and the other elite or hd I can't remember now. I'd definitely like to try the recon force Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. Anytime! I'm sure you'll be fine. Just take your time. Rent a brush hog or hire someone to cut the brush for you. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. It's sad, I used to love cuddeback cams when they were top dogs. I still have 3 perfectly working cuddeback captures flash models. The ir models lasted me 5 to 6 years. These have got to be 6 years + closer to 9 I bet. As well as the original attack ir that works good Phade, I heard bad raps on the new recon force compared to the 2016 model, is that true? Thinking about getting one for videos Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. Yea I was going to get ahold of K&K West and ask a few questions. My buddy is buying 3 acres worth as well so whichever way we go, we are doing the same planting. Originally it was going to be Eagle seed soys but idk, I like this Tara soy. That's a ton of pods for a forage bean.. Probably absolutely perfect growing conditions tho lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  24. I know others that have them and love them. But everyone likes different things about them in guess. For 60$ In my experience I wouldn't. I'd save a few more bucks and break the 100$ Mark Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
