That they are. I went to the food plot seminar 2 or 3 years ago just to check it out. Pretty ordered a couple chesnuts as well. I like the store but I have a hard time spending nearly 200$ on seed to have it end up being last year seed Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Looks nice, maybe give it an L shape with a strip of turnips or radish or some forage oats as well Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Ok thanks I'll look into it. Gonna try a few things first. Otherwise it will be for sale on East Lake Rd on Seneca lake soon. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
Awesome, keep us posted! With small seeds like turnips and clover, you don't need to break ground to get them to grow. If you have the means, kill off the vegetation, once it's brown and dead. Spread your seed over it and roll the area a few times with cuktipacker or lawn roller. Just in case you wanted to try it and save money from paying someone. It works well for us. I now plant things specifically to kill them off the following spring or fall that will help me roll seed into the soil as well as germination of seeds and improve organic matter in soils. I agree with the motors selling if there was an issue. I believe since the estate is still open its easier to get this thing sold. As in getting reggys and titles. Not 100% but I'm most certain. What is LOU? Lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Cut down trees in a plot or not?
LET EM GROW replied to corydd7's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I have a narrow plot.. about 60'W x 500'L that I left a couple younger trees growing near my stand. One, a Spruce my dad used as a yardage marker (23yrds) and a couple others one an Ash and the other Im not sure, has huge round leaves. But anyway, I planted 2 varieties of Apple Trees at each end of the plot, and a few in the center as they grow I will eventually take down the trees I left and let these grow, plus the new trees hopefully segregates the plot some which i am hoping to use to my advantage. Block entry points with brush(done) and funnel them in certain spots. -
Cut down trees in a plot or not?

Agreed, i have a couple spots that I dont like leaving cams up on field edges. I had my first cam stolen last year. Glad it was not any of my Browning cams. Im pretty sure i know who took it and they live in PA, come up to gun hunt. Im anxiously awaiting July so i can put the cams back out and see what they look like this year! -

So I took some pics everyone, since i dont have the registration since it was lost in the car accident. I dont know exact length of the boat, and did not measure it. I believe it is 18 long'. It has a re-tuned 115 hp Evinrude, as well as a 9.9 Evinrude for trolling. Boat has bimini cover, down and out riggers. New upholster, just needs a good cleaning from only being tarped and not used in awhile. I believe the year of boat is 1981. Everything worked and ran as it should the week of his accident. The boat hasnt been touched since. besides re locating a few times, If anyone has a better idea of its worth, or a possible offer? Need it gone -

Wooly, do that broken branch trick and set up a browning!! Lol I know what you mean. I've done it as well. This year I want to build a glorified "hopefully" community rub post in one or 2 of my plots. With a browning set over it of course Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

I'd leave em for a bit and do as grow said plant a couple hard or soft mast trees in there. Based on the season you want to hunt there. Early, mid, late. Then cut those pines n such down after the one who ones take off well Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

I will be doing pure soybeans, if I can get ahold of the tara soybeans I will get a bag of them and mixed with the ag beans I have already picked up. If they get hammered I will just overseed in the brassicas when they're due. I will have 3.5 acres between 2 soybean plots planted. And they will be about yards apart. Nothing super thick. Lots of bedding near by but, in the logged area it's already nasty thick with tops, and I'd only imagine even more thick in a couple years with new growth emerging. If granted permission I will plant some fruit trees as well. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

I just roughly measured the area, its about 1.25 acres. Going to be small for soybeans without a fence but we are going to try it out. The double beam will be going over the top for sure! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Yea if i can get it cheap enough, depending on the shipping price.. im going to grab a mix of ag beans, group 1 and a group 3.5, lab lab, and cow peas. I've made up my mind i guess. It will be a first for me planting the cow peas and lab lab, anything to expect here, grow?? beside hopefully annihilation from the whitetails lol -
First off, for anyone who has heard it before, i'm talking on behalf of my "Murder Plot".. in this discussion lol In the Aerial Map, This is a neighboring property I basically have exclusive rights too.. The big weird shaped white box is an area that is being logged, actually i would say 85 -90% clear cut for all of its soft wood, pine, poplar etc... The gray lines/box are new, nice and wide dug roads they dozed to skid the wood out. IMO great for food plot trails clovers and grains.. The red lines are the property lines. Green areas are food plots and its species labeled.. Black lines are food plot screens. My "Murder Plot" is the plot unlabeled, all that is left of it, is a patchy White and Red clover plot. The 2nd picture i took yesterday from the yellow star looking south. And the Drone picture is a picture of this same area, this past January, From the East looking West(Neighbors clover plot in back).. So I'm looking for some ideas, I dont have the extra time this year again, to spend making things perfect and exactly how i want them to be, having a baby boy due next month. But to get at least some groceries going for now, i was thinking as soon as they are done skidding(which should be real soon) and right before a rain, seeding some grain and clovers into my plot and into the extended "gray dozed area" south of it. Or planting some bean/pea blend in there for summer forage and over seeding Brassicas/Clovers in August, figuring that beans in an area of this size will get hammered. This area is awesome for early archery season, hence the reason i had clovers here. So ideally id like it to be good for early bow.. and possibly Late season as neighbors typically give up.. I am in competition with the neighbors trying to have better food and pull deer lol Many well managed acres around.. Thanks in Advance

I've owned many red dots, and the cheaper ones, even though still adjustable. Totally suck unless in low light conditions. The tru glos and many others are much brighter. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Nice! We designed and just made a compact version of a no till drill to pull behind a quad. Just add some weight. And the tow behind roller. Pictures are from the "almost done" time frame. Lol Next is a setup for a 3pt system. With a disk I've got laying around. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
