  1. Question, you "caught" or killed your first spike at age 10?
  2. https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/47887-you-can-never-been-too-careful-out-in-the-woods/
  3. The wife and I will be hitting the poll booths tomorrow night for sure. Both of us are Registered Republicans. Neither of us want Cuomo to win again! He's gone bat shit crazy with power, and his shady way of getting things done needs to stop! We need a change, now more then ever. This is Going to be an interesting Primary for sure.
  4. C'mon, even that 30 minute meal chick likes those copper pans at times.
  5. I was referring to making your own pasta sauce in large quantities for canning. It doesn't take much to burn it in a SS kettle. Dude, are you really watching TV to figure out what pans work the best? I thought I had you figured as way beyond that. If you are using TV, then that dude selling the air fryer and copper pans would be right up your ally. LOL
  6. Get ceramic coated or even better cast iron. I hate SS pans, even just boiling water for pasta they stain up and pit. We have SS for the sole purpose of canning these days. We have to stand over the pasta sauce stirring every few minutes or it burns, just for that reason, the olive oil. Butter is even worse because butter burns fast.
  7. Did you put them on a roll or just gobble 'em down?
  8. Baked salmon ( sea salt, cracked black pepper, garlic, smoked paprika, and a little dill ), rice noodles with broccoli and garlic sauce. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  9. That should be the spirit of hunting.
  10. I'm not really sure what a honey do list is anymore. If things need to be repaired on the home, it gets done, there's no request on that. I did help brush in my wifes selected hunting area today, that's a honey do list to me these days. Not sure about this one, our lawn mower crapped to bed a couple weeks ago, not proud of this, but I had to pay someone to mow my lawn last week for the first time in my life, so we bought a new lawn mower I have to get set up and running, she did buy me a new hat as motivation, so maybe this is on the honey do list. Still, I am not sure how that list works anymore, it's not like it was 20 years ago.
  11. I just popped over to FB, and my brother posted this. I got a little bit of a chuckle, and though I would share it.
  12. Changed my mind. Just having the ham sammich with garlic chips. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  13. WTF dude! You hit that wacky cactus to eat that much? LOL
  14. Mainly only loud during the mating season, or at a zoo. I honestly have never heard the loud odd noise they make while I have been up there. But, I am not usually up there during their mating season. I don't know much about them, but it's interesting hearing my buddies dad talk about them. He explained the white ones used to be very rare, still are in the wild. But in captivity they the white ones are becoming more the norm due to food and where they have to roam. Like I said, I don't know much about peacocks, but I sure as hell will take the word of someone who is raising them.
  15. My buddies father lets them roam, but they rarely go to far, they know where the food comes from. In the 3-4 years he's been raising them, I have never seen one up there in the actual woods while I have been hunting, walking, or when my buddy and I camp. They stay close to the house.
  16. This weather was great for getting things ready for deer season up north! Got a hell of a lot more done in a few hours then we would have it was hot and muggy all day. Back into the 80 here all next week, but "they" are saying far less humidity. I hope so, I still have a few things to get done down here on public land.
  17. Getting the tomatoes for our sauce next Saturday morning, then two days of water bath, skin, get the fresh spices in, and simmer to reduce. I can't wait! I will get pics up when we get it going.
  18. Just thought I'd share this pic since I have never seen a white peacock except in pics. My buddies father's flock. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  19. This was good after spending the day afield getting ready for hunting. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
