WOW! Just WOW!
DirtTime replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
This has nothing to do with red flags, Big Brother already knows that if he wants to use it. This was posting people names, addresses, birthdates, the firearms they have, and other sensitive information on the web for millions to see. In this climate, that's not too safe for those whose information was made public with all the fanatics out there. Some moron wants to steal a gun, now he knows right where to go. The AG made the state a free gun store to some criminals. -

The background check for ammo was rescinded by Cuomo himself before it was even put to any vote. That's why you can buy ammo and have it delivered to your house if you don't live in the NYC zip code areas. Some places won't do it because they don't want the hassle of checking every zip code, I don't blame them for not wanting to deal with our mess. After what happened in CA, the Left shouldn't be pushing any boundaries right now. CA is about to find out the hard way some things are best left alone, and being spiteful will lead down a bad road. I see some Democrats out there being removed from office. -
Politicians say gun owners are the reason for violent crimes? This dip stick just violated a ton of people's privacy and put them at risk. I see a huge lawsuit heading towards CA. I hope the morons here are paying attention to this, so they don't make the same dumbass mistake. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-america/faith-freedom-self-reliance/california-just-showed-why-a-national-gun-registry-must-never-happen

I'll wait and see what comes of the rumor mills. If they plan a meeting then it will go to a vote, and probably be shut down by anyone with half a brain, Democraps included. If they purposely go against the rulings with some executive order, she may just be jeopardizing her career, and if it goes to a vote and passes it may just put other politicians careers at risk. Won't hurt my feelings if all of them get slammed and forced out of their seats. As for other gun forums, I pay attention to a few, and a lot of NY'rs have been pretty quiet for some time, and more so after the latest load of donkey dung with the semi-auto rifles. Folks are learning to not believe everything they read on the web, as well as realizing the more they put out in the open, the more gas for the red flag fire. It also seems to do not good to write any politician in this state to voice your thoughts because they just don't care. Not arguing here, just pointing out that a lot of lies are spread via the rumor mill. Right on this very forum, I had to correct someone who posted wrong information about the latest addition to the SAFE ACT. It doesn't take much for most people to have conniptions about a rumor and spread false information further in the web. -
Do you still associate with that person?

Where are people getting this information? Twitter is about a reliable a source for facts as Facebook. I know there's a meeting planned but nothing has come out in writing except that the Democraps are refusing to follow the ruling by the SCOTUS, which is about as smart as seeing a missile coming at you and just standing there. -
Most people don't like a thief............... But I guess it depends on who stole your money................

Roe vs Wade

When I become President and separate NY into two states, I will no longer be excluding Greene County from Southern NY. -
Supreme Court ruling NYS
DirtTime replied to Fletch's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
They are anticipating some grimy actions. This is going to be an interesting few months, not just here in NY, but in a few other states where this is going to have an effect on their extremely tight laws. This was a door that wasn't simply put ajar, it was kicked off the hinges. The left been kicking gun owners around for a very long time, this time someone kicked back. -
Last year was the first time I actually put out a cam and left it. I set it up about 3-4' from the ground overlooking a small gully and maybe 30 feet from a brush blind I set up. The main problem is the deer don't have a lot of actual trails they use on that land, they just sort of go wherever they feel like going. There are maybe 5 deer runs they use, and none are used regularly. I may not bother setting it back up this year because I set it up for the area my wife likes to sit, and she isn't sure how much she will hunt this year. If I do set it out, I'll put it overlooking a ridge that leads down to a creek.

Supreme Court ruling NYS
DirtTime replied to Fletch's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
If anyone has read through that whole ruling, you would have seen that the SCOTUS stated that the ruling shall not be infringed upon. Meaning, if the anti-gun idiots decide to try and screw around and pull some shady shit, they may find themselves in deep water with no PFD. I personally hope they do try some dirty deeds, it will show just how crooked they really are and will only reinforce and allow a better foothold for the Pro 2A people. Hochul and the left minions were just given notice that the SCOTUS isn't going to tolerate the Anti 2A movement anymore. -
Gas Prices
DirtTime replied to GreeneHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
My mention of Queen was in reference to Hochul. As Andy was sarcastically addressed as King, so Hochul is now the Queen. I don't live downstate! Are you crazy! 150 miles from me to NYC and I feel it's too close, and when the wind is just right I can smell the donkey dung as it is. I'm simply stating that some are taking advantage of the situation. Oil companies, some stores, and Biden himself included. We have reserves, yet we're buying oil from countries we were at war with, and other countries who are trying to reinforce a communist regime on a smaller country. If it was still America First, the gas prices may have gone up a bit, but I doubt they would be what we have right now. I think it's time for me to find something more productive to read or post about, because the left can't see the damage being done by them, and no one sees or at least wants to admit that some are just flat out using these dark times to line their pockets. -
Supreme Court ruling NYS

This is NY, and dictated by liberals, so I get the pessimism. But like I said, with this win, it might very well spark some rejuvenation to let up on some other ridiculous gun laws. -

I'd have been a lot happier if they had done away with restrictions on MSR's too. But at least the NRA did something for a change, so I'll take the victory. -
Gas Prices
DirtTime replied to GreeneHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
That wasn't directed at you, or how things were done at your shop. But one would have to be blind to not see a lot of places who sell gas are gouging. Like I said, the tax and other breaks here equalled 16 cents, and everyplace jacked up the price at least 40 cents, voiding out the breaks. I stopped to get gas in the morning at one place and the price was $4.69. On the way home a couple of hours later, it was $4.79. Later that evening when we had to go get something, I forgot and passed it again, the place was $4.99. That's a 30 cent rise in less than 24 hours (less than 8 actually). There's nothing anyone is going to do to change my mind that they aren't taking advantage of the situation, just like a lot of other places. It's like the butcher trying to tell me the cost of wings went up, but not the chicken. How does that work? You get the chicken and cut it up to sell, so how in the hell did the wings cost more than the whole chicken? -
Gas Prices
DirtTime replied to GreeneHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Yeah, the Queens halt on taxes did wonders. A whopping $.16PG savings here, that by the end of that day most places had jacked up the price $.40 completely voiding the break. If anyone thinks some places aren't gouging, then how can the price change three times in one day? I also stopped buying into they change the prices when they get a new delivery for that very reason, I don't think any gas stating is getting a delivery every day, much less twice or more. As for this whole, Biden and the left aren't to blame? Have a look around, man! Don't swallow the green pill. -

Big win for NY!!!!!!! Hopefully, this opens the door to repeal the Safe Act and this latest round of bullshit regarding semi rifles. -
NY Gun Owners Score a Win in SCOTUS
DirtTime replied to CharlieNY's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
You read all 135 pages in a matter of a few mins? I realize that you now have the name of a moron fictional character and an avatar to match, but surely you're not that dense, I know better. I read about the ruling not long before making my post, and it is morning, and before I saw the original post here. Stop hanging out with those Biden lovers, they're clouding your perception or something. -
NY Gun Owners Score a Win in SCOTUS
DirtTime replied to CharlieNY's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Read it this morning. So now one doesn't need to hop through as many hoops for a CCW, but we have to get a license for certain long guns. What an ass backwards joke. -
Cold rocks cause hemorrhoids. Pine cones leave a fresh scent back there, though a bit sticky. Reply to both of yous: I don't use my socks or gloves. Hard to scrape chit out of the inside of a boot if you use a sock. If you use a glove and then have to pick your nose.......................................
-
Well, seeing I don't hold it until I get back from a hunt, like many other folks, it comes with the territory of hunting. I guess mentioning having to use a pine cone on occasion would really get the belly turning.

Fold. I feel like I just watched a dinosaur video, WTF.

I was doing the same thing this morning. Used an ash hearth board with a cottonwood spindle. Solid combination that works pretty well for me.

If you want to sell, this is the market for it. You could most likely make a pretty hefty profit.

Sorry to see you having to go through this, eddie. Do whatever allows you to be able to still get out there.
