I hunt mainly public land. So no feeding/baiting birds for me. I hunt the traditional way. Scout, hit the woods, shock call to locate, soft talk on the pot call, and just hunt. Next season I am going to try a bit more run & gun.

That's my issue. I have no problems with freedom of speech, but that Amendment went south years ago. The only freedom of speech these days seems be, "You can anything you want as long as you agree with me and my side!". These people attack Trump for what he says, then Colbert says something like this? I don't care what media outlet you watch, but all this "I can say w/e I want but you cant!" is starting to go to far.

We wen't over to Jarolemon Park last Sunday. Walked the trails a bit, then I walked the bank on Hannacrios fishing the pools for a couple hours. Not even a nibble. Creek was clear. Lot's of Blue Gill and minnows all over the place.

Took a drive out there this past Saturday to have a look at the campgrounds and get some information on the hunting areas within the park. I thought about doing a tent camping/bow hunting trip over there and thought about seeing if anyone might be interested last year, but sight unseen I was apprehensive. All of the sites are small, and it's mainly set up for RV's. Buy, they do have a loop dedicated to tent campers, but the sites are all pretty tiny. After seeing the layout I might go ahead and give it a shot this season. Anyone interested in doing a weekend camp/hunt there this fall?

Hard to tell, but I'm leaning towards no. I swore I had those ******** in the house I rented in Schenectady, but I was wrong. That bug you have pictured, in comparison to the siding ( looks like double 5" ) looks to be huge.

So, Coumo was on the news for approving something stupid again ( actually forgot about what it was because I got into a rant about how the hell do we get this moron out of office, cut taxes and getting rid of the Safe Act ). My fiancee says, "So you don't know about the gondola?". I had no clue. But this is pure ripping off of tax payer dollars. You wonder why the taxes on our homes go up and up? Here's why! I think it should be done the same way TF set up the WNY get together. Hit up a pub, a few beers, some wings, and some chatter. That worked out great.

Congrats to those who gave the toms a final headache today. I only got a few hours today. Set up where I had heard a gobble or two a couple weeks ago. Not a peep in the dark. Just after the sky started to brighten I tried a few soft purrs and clucks. Nothing. Went on like that for two hours.

Chris Cornell took his own life last night. I was not a huge fan of Soundgarden or his Audioslave bands, but they did have some great music and his presence will be missed in the music industry. I was just getting used to hearing the peepers at night, and was even trying to get a pattern on the 'yotes. Haven't heard the 'yotes in almost two months, and no peepers in about three weeks.
