  1. I want to see the rigs the recent 'experts' have. I would love to see where your arrows are hitting as well, please post up some pics. You and your rig here, and your shots here: https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/33907-1st-shot-daily-pics/?page=14#comment-499130 No pic of me and my rig right now, the g/f is watching one of her, "You bother me and you can sleep in the shed!" shows. But, here's a pic of the rig. Yeah, it's not top of the line, but I am getting along with it very well.
  2. Snuck some shots in out back at appx. 27 yds a few days ago, no pics. Hitting the same with my 20 yd pin at 10, 16, and 27. The center of my target is blown out. Hadn't shot in a couple days. No warm up shots. 4 FT's from 16. ( No more FT practice! ) 3 BH's from 16.
  3. Another thing why the press is so quiet.............. NO GUNS! Knife and bombs, nothing for the anti-gun fools to spout off about.
  4. I feel bad for you guys who live in NYC. Everyone goes everywhere and you never know when this crap will happen. Glad you and your family are OK as well Jerkman. I was never a fan of FOX News. But, boy have they changed their opinions on the whole matter of terrorism vs. just some nut job. This morning when I was watching about both bombings, and police were saying not related, the FOX News crew said bombs in two areas that close can't be 'coincidental'. The ones in Jersey were on timers set to detonate at the beginning of a US Marines charity event. These ******* are getting more brazen. I stoped watching, so I am not sure what they are "officially" calling any of the three attacks, but if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...... IT'S A DUCK!
  5. As far as I know, any center fire cartridge. Even a .222 is legal. I will have to look again, but, that's what I always read on DEC. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8310.html
  6. Wow, hope you feel better grow. Maybe time to invest in one of those suits.
  7. Unless I take a thermos, pockets. Most of the time just what I need in my pockets.
  8. I have no idea what you are talking about. Did you smoke something funny today?
  9. I think they are being told to do that from 'higher authority'. The people will start making changes. Retribution as well. Look what happened in FL recently. That was a statement IMO, that some are tired of these people killing innocent Americans.
  10. Glad you and your family are safe Elmo. Must have been the moon phase, bombs in NYC, Jersey, and the stabbings in MN. At some point people will have to wake up and smell the BS and start cleaning it up.
  11. Really? Nothing to say on this? Hypocrites! I already gave the link to the PETA site. Go spew you BS over there!
  12. Someone put up with you for 25 years? She should run for President! On a serious note, congrats on the anniversary! This summer has been dry. I don't know the area you are talking about, but I know the small lakes and streams where I am are not doing all that well.
  13. Here's the way I really see this whole debate. The lead ammo killing predator birds isn't going the way people wanted it. So, now, lead is causing defects in kids. Just another soap box IMO. I can see, MAYBE, lead poisoning in states that allow buck shot because it's shot and hits the animal in more areas then a slug or rifle bullet. Other then that, I think some of these "studies" might belong in the fiction section of a library. Drugs cause defects in babies, yet no one really tries to stop the drug dealers. But, a little lead in game and lets ban lead ammo for hunters. You pick the wrong soap boxes if you want to bring defects in children into play. I ask again, do you drive an "eco-friendly" automobile? Probably not! Not one of these threads about lead ammo have been 100% factual, it's all opinion based. When to many people have the same warped opinion, you get laws that are ridiculous. Just look at the "Safe Act" if you don't believe me. Bunch of "crusaders" get together and who knows what will happen.
  14. Thinking like maybe, 5-11. Who knows, they might shock everyone, but not likely. At this point I would be happy with a .500 finish.
  15. I had hopes. We have the talent, solid on both sides of the ball. Well....Actually..... Watkins needs to stop being a baby! Looking at the schedule I was thinking 9-7 for the season.
  16. Only 2 hours? Not enough dedication IMO.
  17. I'm good with a sheet of camo burlap in front of me. Just wondering who would drop that amount of scratch on a hunting blind. If you want something like that just buy a 4'x4' or 6'x6' poly shed, add some windows, insulate if you like, and paint it up. You could put a cot in an 8'x8' and have a tiny camp.
  18. Also, what one person thinks is pressure might not be that bad to another. I hunted a spot in 4B last year that on the days I was there I never seen another vehicle. Mainly during the week, weekends I spent in the NZ for the most part. If it's 500+ acres and I see 4 or 5 vehicles, that's not bad. When it's 200 acres in a suburban area, and there are vehicles parked all over the place and people walking in from homes to hunt, that's pressure. You never know how public land will be unless you put boots on the ground in it.
  19. I hunt where I hunt. Been doing it long enough to not have to ask other people where to hunt. Have private land, and some nice public land that people like you will never find. You said you have all this money, so just hire a guide. Oh, hey! Did you hear? Trumps son bagged a huge saber tooth tiger in 5A.
  20. Posted 18 minutes ago · Report post Yea should have been more specific I guess ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dude, you can't even keep your threads straight.
  21. That's not the full "southern zone". Try looking at a WMU map. Good luck this season.
  22. You have been to every state or public land you can hunt in the 'southern zone'? What do you classify as the "southern zone"? I was re-reading this for giggles and this stood out this time. IF, you have been to all of them, then you would know what areas get more pressure and the ones that don't.
