There are a few places closer. Not sure if they allow it, plan to call Monday. The g/f isn't home, thinking of putting my target in the hallway. It's a perfect 10 yards.

If you boycotted every company we don't agree with policies on, you would not put gas in your vehicle, you would not buy clothes, you would not eat out very often, and not have any furniture in your house. Those are just a few.
-
OK, all joking aside. Do they have copperheads on LI or in NYC?
-
Just thought of something. now that's 'paper tuning'.
-
It looks like it won't be bothering you again.

Have to hit some state land that allows target shooting. Get the FP's over and then get practicing with the broad heads. Time's ticking.

The cost for canning equipment isn't that bad, max a few hundred. The cost to buy produce at a veggie stand is far below the cost of even Price Rite. Yes, it takes time. You play golf, how much is that equipment? Good set of clubs...$$1500? Per round $65 for 18? Membership to a club, $2000 a year. We all have things we love, I was just busting your nads. But I will say, when you eat something you took time to make, it tastes a hundred times better then anything from a store.

Priceless.

Grow, you know Biz is a city slicker. Golf, pool, beer pong, then the outdoors. Since my g/f got into canning I can't stand some store bought foods. Pickles, tomato sauce, and hot peppers. She wants to get a vacuum sealer next year when we are able to put in a garden again. I am all for it. She enjoys doing these things.

Bump.

Called this morning. Wasn't ready but was told I could come in at 1pm. They were just finishing it up. The cost included range time and a few things I didn't need, but I doubt they paper tuned it. I like the bow. Shoots well, smooth and quiet.

Today was not a good day. The Prism shoots nice, smooth, and very quiet. To bad the guy shooting it is out of practice. I was all over the target in the beginning. 20 yards. Pic1, Very first group. Made adjustments, shot more, more adjustments. Got group in pic 2. Made a few adjustments, started getting a little closer groups. pic 3 was the last of the day. I was getting frustrated so I ended the day with that group. Super tight, but 3" left.

That's my job, along with dragging it. Hope she knows she's paying the processor for her own deer. LOL

Depends! But, are you you sure you always stand up to pee in those depends Pygmy? You have never just sat there and let it go? LOL
-
Pretty sure most inlines have to go through an FFL as well for all of NYS. You have to pass a NICS check to buy one.

not that old.

Don't get me wrong. I am not a fan in any way of the Broncos. The only way I want them to win is against the Giants, the Redskins, and the Cowboys. Notice that pattern? LOL
-
I root for the Panthers depending on who they play. Always have been a solid contender. Denver had more then just Manning, he didn't win the game alone. What hurt the Panthers in the SB was Newton choked harder in one game then Jim Kelly did in 4. LOL HA! I didn't know the game was streaming free on the web. Just booted it up.

I am not making a jab, but you sure are lucky you didn't start hunting when many of us did. No cams, no computers, no cell phones, and no battery operated bug repellent. The only affordable camo available to the average hunter was woodland, or for $10 more you might get "Tiger Stripe". Your 'under armor' was old fashioned basic insulated underwear and sweat shirt/pants under over sized clothing. Carbon arrows were just taking off ( OK, when I got into hunting they were just taking off and were expensive as hell ) for compounds. About 80% of the southern zone was shotgun only, no rifles, and the shotgun could not have a rifled slug barrel. Those were some tough times. It was hell! PURE HELL I TELL YOU! Well, what the thread was about is leasing ruins conservation. I don't see it that way. If you lease and are allowed to put in food plots and so on, as many do, you are helping the land and the game population. Like I have said, and a few others, is leasing takes opportunities away from people who can't afford to lease. The guy that used to let you hunt for helping toss a few bails of hay, is now getting $10,000 to allow a group to hunt and you are out.

I want to go back to that brewery. The food sucked, but some of the beer was great.
-
I've had it given to me. Tried as a steak, it was.....OK. Put some in a crock pot with beef stock and made a stew and it was great.

You have to get the smaller ones to eat. Once they get to big the meat is really stringy. I have also read and heard that in the older ones, it's harder to kill the bacteria they have in the meat. I have never made them a target. Seen a few ( 3 ), but only one while hunting. If I was to hunt them, it would be stalking, getting on a good food and water source and tracking back towards the den. I really don't see just sitting in a stand waiting as viable option unless over bait.

For this season, Allen Lighting 100gr's. Yeah, I know.

No pressure from me on her. I will still need "my time in the woods". It's been so long since I hunted with anyone else it's going to be a re-learning for me as well. I see more evening sits for the gun season this year, she's not a morning person. I will now be using the bow season to get my deer, and the gun season to get hers ( hopefully one for me as well, but not a priority this season for me ).

There is some science to it. I never give it much thought, I have seen a lot of deer activity in fields on a full moon while driving to or from my hunting spots. I say hunt when you can, full moon or not.
