This fall, just deer. She will be toting my .25-06. I doubt any small game as she doesn't like to eat most of it. Spring turkey? Hmm..Let me ask...Reply; " I don't know. You know me. " I sure do, she will decide two days before the season and then a mad rush to get her a shotgun. LOL
-
She didn't even cheat and ask me any questions. LOL She goes Saturday for the 8 hour class.

They might have a chance without Manning on the other side..

I prefer Stewart's coffee. Makes you wonder who Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, and stores like that are backing.
-
Aren't there certain areas they are not supposed to be used in? I thought the FFA set up some strict rules regarding where and how they can be used.
-
Much appreciated db.

I joined because talking about the "AR" style platform around here is nothing but an argument waiting to happen. That's not a bash on this site, just a few members here that don't fully understand that style of rifle. I really didn't get a good vibe over there. The hunting topics were few and far between. But, I have heard a little about Vertical Scope. They are nothing I want to be associated with!!!! That's just my personal opinion, and no one should make a decision on what I think or believe in.
-
Yeah, they sold out to Vertical Scope.
-
If it is nyfirearms, I joined a few months ago. Never got a good vibe over there. If so, how did you leave? Just stop going or have account deleted?

You can get a rack kit for most sport quads. The big issue is most are chain driven, and if the the rear sprocket hits a rock it can be a PITA. I really would go with something made more as a work horse and shaft driven for hunting purposes. A winch and a tow ball are also a nice thing to have. JMO.

Now that is funny.
-
That would be doing things the easy way, we don't do things the easy way around here. Apparently not.

How's that Corona in this heat Pedro? LOL See, you should buy a bow. You can hunt in this weather. Last year was like that. I was hunting most of the gun ( deer ) season in a sweatshirt, or just a light weight full sleeve. They are saying the temps will start to lower next week. We'll see.
-
I think we have three. One for sure. This is a good site and good people.
-
That's how I got the bow. I get a new bow, she gets a new bad around Jan. when the bow is paid off. LOL
-
Just talked to the g/f. I knew I would end up in the doghouse over a bow. If I had more experience in setting the bow up as for weight and length I would have done it myself. I didn't want to bust a brand new bow. I know how to align the sights, d-loop ( or nocking point ), and rest, get everything level vertical and horizontal, get the right spine and arrow weight for what I am shooting, just never worked on the major mechanics of a bow before. Damn sure will be learning now.
-
Like I said, I won't be going back after this. I will just make the trek to Havoc. I am going to start doing it on my own for sure. I was looking at the price for a press and some tools to make my own arrows. Cost is far more efficient.
-
Flying Arrow in East Greenbush. I won't be going back after this. They gave me a hard time because I didn't buy the bow there. They told me when they tune a bow, they make sure everything is right, and paper tune it as well. Now, when I took the Alpine in a few weeks ago, it cost $32 to have the weight and length adjusted, and the peep installed....Hmmm
-
Went to have a d-loop and the peep installed, have length and weight adjusted, and got a shock. Because it's a new bow and I didn't buy it there, $100 for the tune. Should be done tomorrow of Friday and then I go pick it up and get it sighted to 20 yards.

Would consider a trade for a 4 arrow quiver.

Take it for what you will, but............. There is no way to eliminate the human scent! The best you can do is try to cover it up. But, you can only go so far in achieving that. You can wash your clothes in scent free detergent, you can shower in scent free soap. Yet, we add some form of chemicals to keep ticks off, if you really do walk 2 miles in carrying a climber and the rest of the gear for the day, you will sweat like a pig, add in that what you sweat out is what you eat and drink, so you will stink to deer. You fight a loosing battle.
-
Hope they get you in quick. Best of luck eddie.

The only "Moon" you should worry about is making sure you don't have 'plumbers crack' in view. All these years of new found scientific facts and gadgets, and yet people with no web or smart phones kill deer. Some of them even do without wearing camo or worrying about scent control!

If you aim at the back far shoulder at the right angle you have a good chance at hitting vitals and no gut shot. Or in front of the front shoulder.
