I was thinking more how many of us still hunt an area even if we kill a deer in that spot. If I kill a deer and then see that deer in the woods again, I would get up, drive home and call a shrink. LOL
-
If you want to wax it use cheap cold weather ( it will last longer ) snowboard/ski wax. That usually has a floral smell. I still wouldn't do it, but for those who may want to try I would go that route.

That's what I may end up doing. Going to let it simmer over night and see if anyone local can use it. Zeus, yeah it's around '97. This bow is in great shape. Draws smoother then a few newer bows I have tested. But, you said out, you be out. LOL

As far as the shipping goes, it's not about cost. I have DR. appointments all this week, and when they stick needles in my back I am not a sociable person. I hurt, and I am not in the mood to go out and deal with anyone. That was why I said shipping would be a week out.

LOL. Out of likes but like this.
-
That's a +1. I want pics too! This a great bow and I just want it given to someone who will use it.

Jeremy K sent this to me, and I just won't be able to get things right for me to hunt with it. So, anyone interested shoot me a PM. FYI, right now it will be a week or more before I could ship this, so if you are close to the Albany area you can pretty much pick it up almost anytime. Alpine Teton Lite With Tru-Glo 5 pin sight, Whisker Biscuit rest, and light gathering tube peep sight. 30" Draw length and no mods to get it shorter. Current draw weight is 63#'s Bow is in great shape, shoots well, and is actually very quiet.

I'm not sure that's auto correct, pork and lord are pretty separate words. LOL Viva La Corona. LOL

Pulled pork, slaw, hickory bbq sauce, and hot sauce. Jalapeño pickles and a slice of pickled jalapeño. Made corn on the cob from the grill, but didn't want that right now. Now, going to sit outside with a Coors Light.
-
Not sure about this. You will leave the smell of that stuff in the woods. I am all for the plastic sled. Will be getting one for myself in a few weeks.

That should make my son a bit excited for his first hunt

Best of luck to your son Fletch. He's got a couple nice bucks to cut his teeth on. -
Selling Out

A "self-proclaimed" 'redneck' calling us Hillbillies? LMAO! WOW! That makes about as much sense as hunting ducks in a bathtub. -
You are forgetting Catherine Bach ( Daisy Duke ) and Lynda Carter ( Wonder Woman ).
-
Maybe you have a cult doing bad things in there? Alien landing spot marker? No clue here. Pretty odd for sure though.

Hope your brother gets well soon. Corona goes pretty well with raw oysters, the heavy beers seem to take away from the flavor of raw oysters and clams. IMO Have some pork end's in the slow cooker. TF's pic made me hungry for pulled pork and slaw, so that's what we're having. Will get a pic up when it's done in a few hours.

I tried hanging from a tree limb for a few hours, all it did was give me sore shoulders.
-
It's at 29" when measured. The bow was a gift so not selling it or trading it. If anything I will give it to someone else who would fit it better.
-
Flying Arrow can order and work on any bow. They looked for me when I had it in there a few weeks ago, and nodda. Both them and Alpine them selves said even a shorter string will not help for that length either. I used to shoot around 28 1/2 ". I think shouldn't go to far past 27".

Happy birthday Elmo.

I called them a few days ago and asked. They don't even have anything close anymore. Been keeping an eye on EBey for mods.

Selling Out
DirtTime replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
You just summed up the point of view you have in a nutshell. Keep typing, pretty soon you will let it be known you support ISIS. -
Just how I am. Not used to people giving me anything. Have no issue giving people things, just not used to being on the receiving end.
-
I appreciate that. Like I said, doing all I can to make the bow work out for me. I feel like a POS accepting the bow and it not fitting me.
-
I did just fine with how I had my hands. Though usually my right hand is loose. No rookie here. https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/33946-almost-might-still-get-got-in-trouble/?page=4 I know that, but, also know enough and am very aware I was just fine holding the bow with no arrow for a pic.

Alpine Teton Light. I need mods to get draw length to at maximum, 27".
