  1. Just joking wolc23. I play the wind as it is when I head to my spots. I have some that are in little valleys and some on ridge lines. The wind is always just a bit different. So I just sit where the wind is in my face. The nice thing about hunting from the ground, if the wind changes, you can move to compensate.
  2. I have 10 arrows that need to be cut down. That's not to bad. Flying Arrow should be close to that in cost and they are closer. Thanks grampy.
  3. OK smart guy. Why is the number 2 the only number that has repetitiveness? 2+2=4, and 2x2=4.
  4. I will make a call to my local shop tomorrow, but, I am curious if anyone might have a rough estimate to have arrows cut and incerts replaced?
  5. So if I fart, it will cause a fluctuation in the wind and thermals?
  6. This needs further investigation. Perhaps a few of us from the upstate area should stop by around 10/1 and have a look.
  7. Um, so how does that explain when there is no breeze? The Earth is still spinning. Right?
  8. Those were moths. You mind was screwed up from over zealous hormones chasing women.
  9. We need far more hunters with this mindset in our midst! Well said Will.
  10. Thanks all. Looking forward to ( hopefully 9/27 ) 10/1.
  11. There's a difference between shooting words or name calling then wishing someone else harm. Sorry, Uptown does that a lot and it's a DB move.
  12. This isn't bad. I don't recommend it though. Stewart's Shops own brand.
  13. I may switch to a drop away next year. For this year WB, as like I said, a few years ago it performed well without rotating my nocks.
  14. Popping the WB on. I liked that rest when I used it a few years ago. I looked at the QAD rests, and a few others. But, a new one isn't in the cards this year. Aside from getting it in to get the length and weight adjusted, set up the peep ( maybe, debating this one ), adding the d-loop and removing the nocking point, I need to get a new quiver. That's all for this year. I loved shooting fingers! Like you said though, not happening with my Prism. Way to short for that.
  15. It's usually the incerts and nocks on cheaper arrows most worry about. I have 6 CX Wolverine Hunters in 5060 I bought three years ago, 4 in 5570 I bought a few weeks ago,and I got them at Walmart for $6.50 each. I have had no issue getting good groups. The group in the pic was while I was using a bow that was 3" to long on the draw for me. That is the second group after not shooting in three years as well. So....I say they group just fine. I was way high as I was shooting at the #3 target ( due to the a long draw ). But the group was great and got better.
  16. Maybe I misled......I was referring to the brushes on the Hostage wearing out fast. Not the WB.
  17. I never had an issue with the WB and arrows not clearing. They make three sizes for larger fletchings, I have the small as the fletching on all my arrows are 2". When I set an arrow in the Hostage with the odd vane out as I usually do, they will hit. When I spin the arrow so the odd vane is up, it clears. I am asking because I am not sure I want to have all my arrows adjusted for the Hostage, or I may have to change the brushes a lot. Leaning towards putting the WB on and keeping the Hostage as a back-up.
  18. With comments like this, I sit in wonder on how this low life is still a member here. You show your true nature every time you make comments about hoping people get hurt or die. Low life looser!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. It does and this one's just for you Uptown Hillary ------>
  20. The new bow came with the Octane Hostage basic rest, I looked at these a few years ago and the reviews were about 50/50. Which is why I went with a Trophy Ridge Whisker Biscuit. I have been looking at the reviews again for the Hostage, seems the same issues, brushes wear out fast and fletchings hit the plastic. I put an arrow in per usual, and it looks like it will hit, flipped the arrow and it clears. Anyway, I am thinking of switching the Hostage out with my WB. How many use these and which do you prefer?
