I have no idea what the g/f is watching. I am in my office/hunting room looking up ways to adjust to this and asking questions in here.
-
That's the thing. Jeremy K gave the bow to me, so I am doing my best to make it work out.

OK< so here's the issue I am having. Draw length is way to long. As you can see. I'm way off on having a stable/everytime anchor point, and the string is hitting my chest. How the hell I managed to get good groups is beyond me. The string hitting my chest is a huge issue. Once I am in my hunting clothes the string will really be getting caught up. I am going to have the peep removed, and get a 1 pin sight, but don't see that helping much. Looked around for the mods I need to shorten it up and no luck. Yeah I know, I dropped the right arm in the pic. Any advice on how to get dialed in with such a long draw? Over 3" past where I need to be.

Yeah, I doubt I will ever do it. Look pretty silly in a stand that low. LOL
-
Hmmmm....I see what you are saying. I used to climb trees and sit or stand on branches just to get off the ground, some weren't much higher then that. Never thought about putting a tree stand that low. Only 5' and my fear of heights shouldn't bug me so much.

Agree with this. ^^^^ You can get some great jerky from a dehydrator, but you can get just as good from a smoker or even in an oven.

Always be careful trimming shoting lanes

Nasty cut. Hope it heals up fast. -
Not trying to be a wise guy, but, wouldn't it made more sense to just use a ground blind then set a stand 5' off the ground?
-
It all depends on your comfort zone. Most are 15-20'. If 10' is what you like best then set up for that. 10' is fine.

I am not even going to ask which one is playing the role of the bride. Homemade chicken fingers and homemade garlic fries. Forgot the veggies.

Good looking bucks. Hope they stick around and meet one of your arrows.

I have a bunch more spots there. At some point I will buy a few pop-up blinds and set them up. They logged the whole thing, so I have to get in and see what they cleared and left alone. I know the second pic will not look like that anymore. My top spot is gone, there's goat houses there now from what they tell me. Logging is winding up so I will actually be able to hunt up there this season for deer.

Trump's base of support

While that may be true, last I read was the wake from the blast alone could travel on the ground for a good distance. But, I am not going into semantics on this one. Simply because that would be the end of civilization. I said before, they push a button, we push a button, another pushes a button, on and on, and that's it. No glory and no winner. War is about bragging rights. No one will win a nuclear holocaust. -

You can't be serious! If they nuke NYC do you think we are safe anywhere in NY, MA, CT, PA ( etc ) from the fallout? -
It might just be stuck. Sitting for 4 years can do that. But, I am pretty sure what TC said is right, loosen that bolt and it should move side to side. If you remember the brand and model look it up and see what the makers say.

Was looking forward to getting out next month with the M&P .22LR , after reading this thread I will stick with the 12GA. Didn't think about how green it will still be out there.

In the words of Homer Simpson.........."Beeeer!"\

Yep. What TC said.

Nothing from a tree, ground hunter here, but here's two of my favorite spots on the private land I hunt. EDIT: The first pic is a good area because depending on wind I can hunt it from all four sides. On the far side in this pic theres a big downed log I use as a natural ground blind.

Looks like a tree making the rack look huge.

Poaching is poaching. Wouldn't expect anything more from a Hillary supporter.

I met the young man. If he keeps growing Shaquille O'Neal would have to look up if they met.

That looks good and sturdy. I am sure the cost was well below what a good ladder stand costs.

Aside from what's been mentioned, a good release, maybe a basked of goodies containing things like bow string wax, string silencers, limb savers ( if a split limb bow ), head lamp, and an allen wrench set? Good hard shell case?

Trump doesn't want to keep holding this country down in the sticky, slimy, goo that we have had to deal with for the past almost 8 years. Yeah, he's a bit of a hot head. So what? Aren't we all at times? Nice to see someone with actual emotion running, not another cookie cutter straight off the assembly line tool that breaks.
