  1. Well, there are far more hand guns used to kill then long guns. Some of those are 'scary' looking "black guns". Ban 'em, too. If you look up the "stats" you will that's true. This, makes as much sense as filling your pool with runny cow crap. That's like saying anyone who buys a sports car will die for driving to fast, all bald people are members of the Aryan, etc. etc..........
  2. Up until lately, had cats in the house almost all my life. Never let them on counters or the table. Also don't believe in feeding a dog from the table, scraps go in the bowl.
  3. Where would that be? Down in "The Island".
  4. It was a joke. A poke at the ML in bow season issue. Geez. Relax people.
  5. No No No! No guns in the bow season. To many people would cheat and kill the deer with the gun then stick an arrow in the hole.
  6. Jerkman said he's the cougar/mountain lion we been seeing. I had a 'cougar' stalking me at the grocery store today. I didn't feed it, what are you nuts! The g/f just decided to take up hunting. LOL
  7. Um...........So you weigh about 230, have blond hair, and 38DD? If so I saw you at my local Price Chopper this afternoon. Stop hunting the grocery stores! The g/f was mad at you eying me.
  8. Sounds like you have tried growie. You sure you are just growing "hemp"? You have been known to blur out the background on some trail cam pics. Just sayin'. LOL
  9. For that money do we get to hunt your land to get the extra deer? Or will you stand up in court and say "Yep, those silly jackasses sent me money, and then killed an legal deer!"? LOL
  10. I have a short release. My new anchor point is at the back of my jaw, not the corner of my lip like I am used too. More worried about the bow hitting my arm or snagging clothing. I will make it work somehow. Deal was I have to take a deer with it this year. I do love the way the bow draws though. It's pretty smooth and the back wall is pretty solid.
  11. Sounds like a Sam Adams Commercial.
  12. True, you pay to hunt early and late seasons. But, you cannot use the either sex tag for bow or ML in the regular seasons. So, you really pay to have the extra tag as well.
  13. I heard something last year about them going to do "Improvements And Fixes". I thought it was to take effect in Jan. of this year. Must have been delayed. It's a wonky system anyway.
  14. Took the bow in for the tune up and have the peep sight installed. I have shrunk! Last time I was measured for draw length I was just shy of 28", now, they said 26 1/2". Shooting about 62#'s and 28 1/2". Can't go lower on the length without mods so I am shooting 'long'. Didn't have time to shoot today, but price for 2 hours is pretty reasonable, so will head over Saturday and get some time in.
  15. That's insane. Up until the last few guns I bought recently all my guns in the past had been wood stocks and blued metal. Still had people give me crap about owning them, and even more about killing "those cute fuzzy animals". When I got into bow hunting many years ago even had people give me crap about that too. It's your state of mind on those "evil black guns", and those opposed are not in a stable state of mind IMO. It's more about sticking your nose in other people business and telling them can't have something just because YOU don't like how it looks. I personally do not like the way those reversed limb crossbows look. But, to each their own. I am not going to tell someone they can't have something just because I don't like the way it looks.
  16. When I can take the AC's out and open windows for fresh air.
  17. Yep. That's why I went with the tags I did. Just in case I don't get private land I still have that, and a couple more.
  18. Yes. But I can make the sticks and jerky from home. Now worried about that part.
  19. Agree on that 200%. I have mentioned watch what you say, open forum, no telling who's watching.
  20. I have no issue paying the price Stratton has listed. Even the added for some ground and sausage. I am not planning on killing a deer the size of a dog. So $85 +extra isn't bad for say, 60lbs of meat. I can't buy 60lbs of meat for that.
  21. Just enjoy the fishing and time in nature TC. Put the wet blankets in plastic in case you have a fire. LOL
