Driving up 9&20 South just outside East Greenbush around 6pm. By the time we got the 3 miles up the hill to our destination those clouds were right over us. 4 minutes from time I took the pic until we got out of the car. I thought it was gonna pour on us.

Dinner at the g/f's parents house to celebrate Mothers Day. The g/f made a stuffed pork loin with roasted red peppers, feta cheese, and spinach.

Might get away with that purchase. Told the better half I was buying a blind and she wasn't happy. Say's I spent enough on hunting/shooting gear in the past two weeks, so that was vetoed.

Was light more of a mist. Just tired of sitting on the wet ground too, not good for a bad back. Charlton? Just outside Grenville? Drive through there all the time when hunting NZ or just going to my buddies house.

Alarm went off and rain. Woke back up around 9 and the sun was out. Had to be home by 11 so skipped today. Frustrated here as well. 4 days out and not seeing or hearing anything. Tomorrow and Monday are no go, back at it Tuesday.

I tried to watch it. I got a little irritated listening to all about Africa for a half hour. Then again, I was irritated at my turkey hunting so far this season too. I will try and watch the whole thing tomorrow. I hope people do not take offense to this, but, I am about managing the game in the USA and more specific in NY where I hunt.

Congrats deerpassion! I went out later then I normally would. Left the shock call in the truck and just went and sat across the road from the spot I have been sitting in. I still heard nothing, but did see two deer. So it was an OK day. Stopped and got an extra set of camo pans and treated them with Sawyers. Weekend weather here is looking like crap. Giving serious thought to buying a blind.

I agree with the crock pot method. When I do baby backs it's a process. I use my own rub and let that soak into the ribs for a few hours then I cut the rack in half for the grill, I keep one side off and one side on low heat for about 5-6 hours coating with sauce every hour. Over coals when camping it's an all day process and much beer consumption while watching them..

I've had a few in the past. They are great as long as there is no wind with the rain. A little wind and they really don't work all that great. Appreciate the tip though turkeyfeathers.

Capitol district, and today was rain all day again. If I had a pop-up blind I might head out in the rain. But, just sitting under a tree even in a light rain for 7 hours stinks.

I think this rain is getting to people. Unless you have a pop-up blind or similar after 30 minutes in the woods you are soaked.I'm setting the alarm for tomorrow, but it will depend on rain if I go out. Friday looks better. Then the weekend looks crappy.
