I already stated I would like to attend one of these seminars if they have one in my area. You didn't read the whole thread.
-
I agree 100% with this. What I do not agree with is if you don't attend every seminar or meeting you are not a hunter. This gathering in question was 6 1/2 hours from me. Am I expected to drive that far just to prove I care or I am a hunter? Would the people from WNY go out of their way to attend a meeting in Albany or a borough of NYC?

I get it that you do not endorse the privacy act. I get that you don't understand where identity thieves get information. I apologize for getting FSW in a huff when this thread was supposed to be about rule changes. -
I tried something new tonight. Had a package of stew beef I pulled out of the freezer last night to start to thaw. I was going to use it for a beef pot pie. I decided I didn't want pot pie, I wanted beef tips, never used stew beef for this before. So I floated to get the beef thawed faster, coated with my homemade rub and let it marinade in the rub for 8 hours ( when you aren't sleeping you have spare time ). Sautéed with some fresh garlic and a little EVO. I was shocked! It came out great and was super tender. Served it with pirogies and steamed peas.

Thanks grampy.

Thanks for the input Bowguy 1. I agree having more then one call might be a good idea. That's why I asked about that slate/glass double sided call. I am also one of those hunters that doesn't want/like to carry a lot of gear if I don't have too. So having one call with two surfaces peaked my interest.

Welcome to the forum.

What does the red part mean? Are you saying that if we don't attend all the seminars or meetings about hunting we don't have a right to say anything? Or are you saying if people don't hunt they have no right to say anything?

She's doing OK turkeyfeathers. Thank you for asking. The stitches were fine, she managed to get it bleeding and scared the crap outta us. Have to watch her like a hawk now that the bandages are off. It's healing pretty well but she's trying to do what dogs do, lick the wound to heal it. Can't let her do that so there's a whole lotta "Leave It!" sounding off in the house.

I'm not big on rimfires. But this is one nice looking rifle. That would have gotten me hooked as well.

Happy birthday. Have a great day and enjoy yourself.

I am not sure forcing people to have their real full names as mandatory is a good idea. How would the staff even know people were using their actual real name? Background check? That won't clean anything up. Charging a fee? What other hunting forum charges a fee? I will do my part to halt my hasty comments. -
Trump Explained
DirtTime replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Then I can't be a Liberal....I am extremely sarcastic and have a great sense of humor, even though it's a little on the dry side. Dry humor and sarcasm go hand in hand..... In all seriousness, Trump is brash and says it like it is. Is he playing the 'emotion game' ? Who knows. I have to say he is the best option we have. If you look at the alternatives, it will just be a continuation of what we have right now. Which stinks. -
Pork roast, potato salad, and steamed corn.

Target shooting with daughter after 5 days of ballet
DirtTime replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
Bonding while shooting, doesn't get much better then that. Nice shooting with the .22 and that's a dead on solid pattern with the shotgun. -
I wonder when I am in a local shop or Wallyworld in the sporting goods area if other people might be members from here.

Very sorry for your families losses. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

John brings up a good point on advancing. You can get some great hosting from Certified Hosting. The software package you get for $100 a year is huge! It's by Softaculous. Everything from great forum software, e-commerce, video, and if you want to create a social site that's in there too. The Wordpress software they have is based on .org, not the free WP which is very limited. If you decide to use them get the 'Geek' package. They also have great support for customers.

Funny................ Papist gets quiet, and Mike posts political topics in the hunting zone areas. I guess someone has to pick up the slack.

Looks great Joe. Looking forward to more vids.

That's my thought as well. 5 weeks will be pushing it, but I do have my slate already, so I may order it as it falls in the free shipping over $49 and I plan to order a few other items anyway. I was on Amazon checking out blinds and decided to look up a few calls. I saved the Primos Jackpot Glass call to my list, and then found the one I linked. Just figured I could save some space with a two-in-one. Good to know they aren't just a gimmick. Thanks for the feedback Rick, much appreciated.

Anyone ever use one of those two material calls? I was looking at this one and wondered if it would be worth it: http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Hale-Threat-Glass-Turkey/dp/B01BE8JSCM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1458780206&sr=8-8&keywords=pot+calls+turkey Glass and slate so only have to carry one call and a couple strikers.

This just took a bad turn. Went out of my office for my 10 minute check and she was able to get it bleeding through the bandage. Odds are good she tore the stitches open. Blood was dripping off what's left of the hair on her tail. No ER vets open near us at this time of night so we will take to her Doc in the morning and let them take the bandage off.

I do not have any pics of this tent set up. I only used it once. It's a basic pup-tent 7' long by 4'6" wide with a 'tub style' bottom. It's classified as a two person but, in reality it's a one person with some room for gear. Local pick up only. Send me a PM if interested. Asking $25.

I bought a 24oz'er of Natural Ice to have with dinner tonight. Been a long time and that stuff still tastes like crap dripping off a rusted pipe.
