Baked a ham. No idea what the g/f is doing for sides and a veggie, I think she said box-mix scalloped potatoes. I did my part for this day.

I have never heard of a get together like this before either. It's a great idea.

I don't remember where the link is, but yes it was posted here. I took and so did a few others. Found the link: http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/31803-ny-deer-hunter-satisfaction-survey-2016/

Marinated a couple chicken breasts in some Lawry's Santa Fe Chili. Then added some lemon juice to the marinade for the last three hours. Sprinkled some cracked black pepper on them and a lemon slice on the top. Spinach and white cheddar pierogi and left over carrots.

Meatloaf, mashed potato's, and steamed baby carrots. I took a few pics. Then I thought, it's meatloaf, Who care's about pics.

Where is this research taking place? This is the third thread with someone asking for dead animals.

Biz can't be Trumps kid. JR seems to spend more time in the woods then Biz. -
What's difference? The thread was about how people feel, so opinions are what you get. I don't see the big deal with the x-bow. I really don't see it changing the early archery season all that much. You may get a few hunters who don't know squat, but you will get that with a gun, a vert bow, or an x-bow. I guess people forgot how last bow season we had someone using a compound bow make a thread about being proud to break the law. Never seen that from a x-bow hunter or a gun hunter on here. So there are "clowns" using a compound too. Just sayin'.

Happy Birthday Biz. Hope your golf swing was true, and you shot under a 90.

There are tests that you just deal with.

Have. haven't even had water since 8pm. No food or anything to drink after 8. Blood work in th morning.

Had a couple Miller Lights in the fridge too.

Not everyone drinks those sissified tastes like marshmallow beers.

You asked for someone to call you crazy. I obliged. All the red fox's I have seen were about the same. I can't recall if they were darker from one to another. I have seen a coupe silvers that were very white though.
-
Without a pic, your crazy.

Grilled a steak. Had to cut it into two sections as the g/f prefers med/well and I prefer it to moo. Made a pasta salad with salami and pepper jack cheese, and brussel sprouts. The plate is the g/f's.

Looking forward to May 1st this year. Last year I went to grab my bow to check it over and start shooting and it was dust. This year, I have my 12ga and I am ready! Already did a pattern check this morning and all is good. If my calling is right and I get one inside 30 yards, going to have a real turkey for next Thanksgiving! Good luck to all this Spring!

I was told by the land owner I cannot hunt this spring or next fall.

I don't think video games really have an impact in that way so much. I think Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have more of an impact. Not just on kids either. I love being in a store when an adult is walking, head down texting into a phone and walks smack dab into another person or a display. I swear I laugh and say "Dumb ***". I still feel more doe permits would help. No matter what season, if they want us to kill a doe they need to give us a way to do that while still allowing rack hunters to get the big boy ( For the record, I mean no disrespect to trophy hunters!!!! ). There's a middle ground somewhere, but no one is really looking for it. The DEC wants it their way, bow hunters want it their way, and there's not much give on either side.

I am on the fence. I have no vertical bow right now and have never had much interest in a crossbow. If it goes full inclusion I am still a bit torn. No crossbow in 4J, so that leaves a whole area out if I go crossbow. I am also on the fence about archery hunting this season at all. The only reason I started contemplating it again was the private land I hunt in the NZ will still be logging into November weather permitting, so I lost that for spring turkey and deer season this year. I don't want to wait until the middle of November to start hunting. So either a crossbow or a new compound will most likely be in the cards. With no place to shoot on a regular basis, if they go full inclusion I will probably buy a x-bow as I do not have to shoot that at minimum 3 days a week to keep form and muscle memory correct.

Nice. Ordered my glass call this morning. Flextone Run-N-Gun. Comes with a hickory striker and a crow call. $15 and will be here on the 6th. Not top of the line either but solid reviews.

Great article. -
The Tompkins County late season isn't an actual season. It's a special season for the Ithaca area to cull herds. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/82382.html Like was said, all this is prudent to your area.
