Well, there's a little bit of both stormy and papist flair in the OP's threads and replies. So, yeah. LOL!

We have about 14" so far, and it just ramped up again, and the wind is getting into the mix now. Calling for another 4-8 over night until it stops.

I think it's either papist, stormy with a different account, or a love child spawned by the two of them. Or, maybe that UptownRedneck ( or WETH his name was ) dude got back in through the cracks.

I'm glad he will be OK GreenDrake. Very sorry to read this I have been scoffed at a few times because I will not shoot at a running deer. This is a big reason why! You get caught up in the lead and bad $^&% can happen. I also always try to set up my spots to sit so I am just a bit higher then the area I am watching. When my wife hunts with me I set her up the same way, and I tell each and every time ( she gets frustrated with me repeating it ) the roads that way, there's a house in this direction, ++++++'s camp is that way.

My wife was going to throw my mug's out! Couldn't allow that! The usual watching it snow like crazy here now. Less then 2 hours I swear we have just about 2 1/2"'s so far. Gonna be a doozy for sure.

I have been getting back into bushcrafting and back woods camping for the past 7 years. I might have a few health issues that keep from doing it full on these days, but like you said, I'm not dead yet, so I want as much dirt time as I can get. Got my ferro rod and knife fire starting skills almost fully dialed back in over the past Spring, Summer, and fall. Got a fire going with wet wood using this method on our week long camp up North, some fat wood helped a lot. Even started the wood stove using hard wood shavings and my mini ferro rod. I set some goals for this coming Spring and Summer. #1, even though I cannot sleep on the ground anymore, I am going to set up a tarp shelter and sleep on my cot under that. I might pick up some bug netting to use for this as well to keep skeeters from invading. Also for the first time in my life, I bought a folding hand saw. They work wonders in backwoods camping. Most of the time I look for wood I can just break over my knee, but having a few logs with more diameter makes it nice not to have to feed the fire every 1/2 hour or less. I just wanna be outdoors!

Best of luck over in MA. I'm pretty curious to read how you make out over there. This storm is supposed to be nasty, so be safe on the roads! I know you are used to driving in the snow, but a lot of other morons think they know how to drive in snow, but don't.

It was shipped UPS. USPS would have been here Sunday. When I looked up the tracking on Sunday the order was pulled but hadn't shipped.

I can't even imagine anymore. I worked in shipping and receiving for about 6 years in a factory. It was 7 day operation, and we ran 24 hours with only major holidays being shut down. Our cut off was 5PM everyday. We had rotating shifts, so if there was a delivery in the middle of the night, if it was super urgent there was someone there to unload/load a truck. But 90% of the time they had to wait.

That's the ire with ordering things on line. UPS doesn't do Sundays, Fed-Ex it's Saturday, and the USPS is just wonky these days. Odd thing, when I ordered a different knife last March, I didn't pay for any sort of expedited shipping, and we did not have Prime back then, it was still here in two days. Sometimes I think it's the company and where their policy on how the operation works. Some companies shipping are open 24/-365. Others, they have more shut down days then schools do these days.

I just had this same crap happen with a knife I bought. Prime is free two day shipping, ordered the knife early on a Friday afternoon. Figured it would be here Monday ( no UPS on Sunday ). Nope, didn't ship until Monday. Got here on a Wednesday. I was less then pleased, I pay for Prime and this was not what was in the deal when we signed up.

So, the Bills rode on into Texas. First time playing on Thanksgiving since what? 1994? Didn't start off well, but, the Bills owned Dallas on this day. I am a harsh critic on my team, like many others, but the Bills are looking better and better. The Bills really should be 10-2. That Cleveland game was a fluke.

Well, this isn't live from the woods, but here's how my day worked out. Morning sit, small button buck and a doe/fawn not much bigger then my dog. Both got a pass. I had some things to get done around the home front, so I came home. Didn't log in, but holy ****! Trying to see who killed a deer was like reading the NYT's! Some people need to just stop and grow the ^^^^ up! Got a few hour window to get back out. So, I headed out for some still hunting. I get to my area, and my license is at home. I drive back home, get my tags, drive back out and hope no ones parked near by, I only have time for a quick still hunt. I spend a couple hours in the woods, jump a deer I could not see, and head back off the mountain. I was out there so I enjoyed it. I took this pic, surprised it came out like OK. If you want to keep who you are a secret, get a great pic of the sun setting behind you!
