Count me in. I have let a few smaller bucks pass this season, just not willing to kill a button buck.

It's almost an hour and a half. You sure about that? I do things in that video a few people on here have scoffed at me for.

I think I have to drop out on this one. I haven't took pictures or made videos on most of my hunts this season. Th only video I could link to here is the video I put together on our week in the ADK's. There's less then 10 minutes of actual hunting footage, it was big woods hunting, so I hunted and didn't care a lot about filming or pics. It was a trip for me to hunt, and my wife and I to get some hiking in. I would have loved to be up there in a canvas wall tent with a wood stove, and doing it old school. I love my wife and we made the trip ours. The video is long, but, in essence it what the spirit of hunting is to me, hunting the big woods blind. If anyone really wants to watch it, I will post it, but I doubt it meets the criteria for this thread.

I got into to snowboarding late in life, I was 28. All of my gear was Burton when I started, I wanted my gear to be from one of the guys that stood up and fought for the sport of snowboarding. The first pioneer to try and get us on the hills! I have owned more then a few Burton boards and other gear. 70% of my gear is still Burton. The first real board I ever had was a Burton Motion 156, that my mother bought me. I took lessons and learned on that board, and two of my friends I taught on that board as well. I still have that board, and it has some serious history. I have always been an outdoors type. I just love being outside! The passing of Jake Burton Carpenter a couple days ago hit a nerve and made me a bit sad. I think at some point this winter, I will go hit the hill I learned on, with the board I learned on, and pay homage to Jake and my mother. Does have anything to do with hunting? Maybe not, but it does have a place in just wanting to be outdoors. This is a part of my history in the outdoors, so I cherish it. RIP Brother! You helped make it possible for us boarders to be on mountains that defiled and hates us. Your memory will live on, and what you did for snowboarding will never be forgotten. Thank you!

@LongWayFromHome , just a couple very curious questions. You don't live here, so why do you care about rattle snakes and mountain lions in NYS? Do you have rattle snakes and mountain lions where you live now? Do you see them regularly where you live now? How would you catch a poacher in NYS if you don't live here? Where are you hunting again? What state? I would love to learn about what species you hunt these days. NY is limited to mainly black bear and whitetail deer for big game. I would love to read what you hunt and where.

I would make phone calls to proper authorities to make sure I was legal to use it where I would be. Second, I would want to know if the electric contraption would help haul the deer out of the woods or would I have to leave and go back for it. If all it does it get me back in the woods so I can hunt 20 feet off a trail, I wouldn't bother.

Sky $$$$$$ all day here, windy and chilly. So, we finished up Turkey Day food shopping, and my wife took a break from the keto and we bought a ready made 6 cheese pizza that I added some pepperoni I sliced of a log we had, some hot sliced banana peppers, and I fired up the fryer and made some wings. Buffalo wings with a Buffalo win! That's how it gets done in my house!

I'll take the Bills record right now and I'm really liking it. They may not be the caliber team they were for a certain "era", but I still say, this is the best the Bills have looked in a decade or more as a TEAM. I'm shocked that every Bills game has been televised in my area, I'm saturated with those Jersey teams fans, and the cheating Pats and their fans. This is NY! Televise the only NY team! As long as Buffalo plays right, not like that horrible performance against the Browns, I think the only teams that will beat them should be the Pats and the ravens. Should win against the Steelers, Cowboys, and the Jets. I do not see them as a SB team, but I can see second round of the Playoffs If they keep their $$$$ together. Was also very happy with the Saints Game today.

I say go for it. I just looked up a few outfitters and the lowest I found was $275 a day. The experience alone is worth the cost.

That was a nice read. But.... I'll take a "Ho-Hum" buck or does over nothing. Go hunt the Dacks or even the Catskills, get some tracking/stalking on. If you are bored shooting great bucks like the one you got then go challenge yourself in some big woods.

I'm going to be the third to suggest the Diamond Infinite Edge. It has such a huge range in draw length and weight's. It will grow with him.

Trespassing is trespassing! It's right there with poaching in my book! Already been stated by a few in this thread, if it's private land and you don't own it or have proper permission to be on it, stay the hell out! It's a punk move to be on land you have no right to be on, and I was being very kind with my wording. Every hunter is an ambassador for our sport, stupid actions do not help our cause.

Huh? Man, you young people using the latest crap makes me laugh. All I need to wander the woods are a good pair of boots and a willingness to spend time in the woods.
