  1. What an awesome surprise! Those euro's look fantastic! Best I've seen anywhere. And now I want some predator skulls too! I firmly believe that good people like moog and dinorocks, are shining examples of true sportsmen. And their actions speak volumes of who they are as men, and friends. Thanks Dino for the rundown on how you do your euro's. I want to try it. Your outdoor skills are many! I enjoy your traditional hunting posts very much.
  2. When I have to go, I've learned to just zone out! Yup, that chubby, old, scarred up, stinky guy you see wondering the store with a blank look on his face? That is me. In my mind, I'm figuring out where that nice buck we got on camera is bedding. Or deciding what lure the bass will be biting. Or perhaps if Aaron Judge will stay healthy for a whole season! While Mrs grampy asks "where is your mind at"?? I just say......huhh????
  3. All dressed up, and nowhere to go! Will get her sighted in next week. Look out song dogs, I'm coming for you!
  4. My hunting partner has one in 7mm-08 and another in 35 Rem. I've shot them both. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely need to rest them. But I hit where I aimed at 100 yards.
  5. Way to go! Congrats! Looks like a pretty big fox. Been checking the forum, waiting for this! Get on em again!
  6. Naw..ya never look fat in black. So I've been told.........
  7. Very nice! So cool to have an official meet up! Were you guys on a woods road?
  8. I know I've met three of the four in the pic ! Do you have a pic of when I was out there last Sumner? I never got one.
  9. I do have a Nikon 3x9x40 223 prostaff laying around. And could mount a gun hunt light I have on top of that? Would I need a riser mount? What do you guys think?
  10. Hmmmm.......that scope set up would be perfect for my new AR.
  11. Couldn't wait. Went to bring her home tonight. Nothing like a new gun!
  12. Five Corners in Rotterdam. Only opened less than a year ago. Part museum, part gun store. Whole bunch of cool stuff in there!
  13. Take It To The Bank Gun Shop. Was at Zacks last weekend, but I thought the prices were a little high. Been to the two Gunsmokes, and Franks, as well. I really liked the people, and the one on one service at TITTB. And they will meet or beat anyone else's price. Also the ATI comes with a lifetime warranty.
  14. Tomorrow is the big day! Will be going to buy my first AR. Still leaning towards the ATI Omni Maxx. Heard from a member here, and a couple others who have them, along with my brother in SC where they are made. They all have just good things to say about them. And most of the many reviews from people who actually have them are good too. But I like the Ruger 556 as well? But it's over $250 more, and I am on a tight budget. So not sure what one will make the trip home? A question.......Not sure of the safe act law. But after filling out the paperwork, will I be able to take the rifle home? Or is there a waiting period now?
  15. On the farm property, it's usually singles and pairs seen. Though it holds many more coyotes. At the lake property though, for some reason, many times I'll see four to six of them together! Especially during bow season. They always are following the ridge, into the wind. Had a member hunting with me in there a year or so ago. He was low, I was higher up the ridge. Shortly after I got settled in, a pack of five went right between us on the lip of the bank. Busting out a large mature buck that was bedded there! I caught a glimps of it, as did Jdubs. But neither of us had a shot. I did almost lip squeek in one of the yotes though. All were BIG coyotes too. As they usually are over there.
  16. TreeGuy and moog, you two seem to have a blast hunting together! A formidable predator team as well. Looking forward to following along here, with ya's tonight! Best of luck guys!!! Offer is always open to come east and hunt our properties!
  17. I always wanted one of these rifles too. If I were not on the verge of purchasing an AR coyote rig this weekend, I'd be all over this! Awesome rifle. Awesome deal too. GLWS.
  18. Man, that button buck had some terrible luck in less than a years time. The meat actually looks fine? No infection. I'd eat it.
  19. Of course you are entitled to have your own opinion Belo! Everyone has their own! No problem at all with that, as we are all individuals. I think the point, is that as long as what any other hunter does is legally done, we as fellow hunters should support it. Even if it is something we may not do ourselves, be it ethically, morally, or just something we ourselves are just not interested in doing. I went duck hunting a couple times, and decided I love watching and seeing ducks much more than I liked eating or hunting them. But still bought my duck stamp every year. Just an example. Doesn't make me any better than you or anyone else. Just that I support "ALL" hunting, even if I choose not to participate in certain aspects of hunting myself. We are all too often caught up in bickering amongst ourselves, like crossbow vs compound vs recurve, 243 vs 30-06, stand vs ground, and the countless variables that define us as individual hunters. When in fact, we sometimes lose focus that we are all just hunters! And we should all respect our differences, and stick together for the common good of "ALL" hunters. Because as seen in this thread, there are many organizations out there, that would love to conspire against us, and tun us against one another. To end all hunting as we know it. They also seem to support each other in funding for their cause, and common goals, much better than we do. While we bicker and dicker over the little things. and lose focus of the big picture. Again......and I can't say it enough. Together We Stand. Divided We Fall.
  20. Have fun you guy's! Wish I could join ya's!
  21. I got 8 and 8 on my work square too!!! Shoulda just had you send me a handful of bell jar tickets!
  22. Give us a full report after you drop a couple this coming weekend!
