He was tough as nails. And when I asked to marry his daughter, he looked me dead in the eyes, with his beginning to water, and said "nothing would make me happier son". When he passed, my hand was on his shoulder.

Yes, they moved to where I lived for a time, in Summerville SC. My brother still lives there, and tells me a few of his buddies use the ATI's and they all love em? And he also knows a couple others who work there, who say it's a great place to work. Thanks for all the help and comments guy's. Will give some thought to all the great advice! Will stick with the fixed mag though on whatever I get. Just more comfortable with the full grip, after handling a few of the stubby ones. And will take Nomad up on his gracious offer for the speed loaders!

My feelings exactly Belo. This is just a "fun gun" to me. The fixed ten round mag with the ejection port speed loaders, will be fine for what I want to use it for. And the main reason for going to a gun shop for the purchase, instead of ordering the components online, and building one myself. Is to be sure I have a totally legal, NY compliant AR. For me, it's just not worth taking a risk, for something that is only used for leisurely fun. That said, I still think the Safe Act, is a big stinking pile of BS! So does anyone have this particular rifle, to give me some feedback?

I am looking at buying this AR for predator hunting, an extra home defence gun, and just for shooting fun. 5.56/223 the reviews for the most part are good, and it's only about $500 new. I have a couple different scopes I could put on it. But may go with a red dot? What do you think? Also have a light set up I will put on it. It has a poly (plastic) upper and lower that is steel reinforced. But from what I've gathered, it is very durable and lightweight, at just over 6lbs. Has a 1 in 7 twist barrel. I will get the fixed mag, with the pistol grip, as that is the most comfortable to me while handling. Also there is a quick loader, by Meat that works very well for loading fixed mag AR's that I'll pick up too. And get this, my bride of almost 40 years wants to learn how to shoot it!!! She has never shot anything in her 63 years! So who knows where this all might go? Maybe her alongside me in a deer blind?? Um.... maybe not, but I never thought she'd ever want to shoot either! She says it looks cool, and as long as it doesn't "kick" too bad, she will learn how to handle and shoot it. She is kinda spooked by this bail reform crap, and works from home. So welcomes the added security. So just asking if anyone has one of these budget AR's and what do you think? How accurate are they out to 100 yards or so? Any major problems? I know ya get what ya pay for. But this AR fits my budget. And I think for what I will be using it for, it will be a good fit for my first AR.

I went gun shopping for an AR to a few gun shops. (Narrowing down the search.) Then finished taking down the Christmas lights. Saw a couple of convertibles with the tops down, and a few motorcycles out and about too. Got up to about 65 degrees. I think it broke a record high for here, on this date! I love it for early January! Though it won't help with getting out to ice fish any time soon.

Now Mitchell ! For being so insulting to those nice hunters, go up to your room this instant!!! And no electronic devices for a week! I'll call you down for dinner. We're having your favorite...... meatloaf!

I'm a 4H hunter too! Would be cool to meet up and talk about hunting Canadian whitetails sometime. I've always wanted to try that. Sounds like we both share a passion for deer hunting. When deer are close, never look em in the eye!! Squint, use the brim of your hat, turn your head away, look from the side. I primarily hunt from the ground, and many, many times have had deer close enough to touch. But something about when they look directly in your eyes, while up close, they're gone! Even if they can't smell ya.

Nice guitar!!! I didn't see this, but have way too many guitars now anyways! I should sell a couple off to help with my AR coyote rig........ But they are like guns, once I have them, I hate to see them go!
