  1. Happy Birthday to Mom!!! Saw my first Redwings of the year yesterday, up on the farm. Unusual to see them this early up there. No Grackles yet. But they won't be far behind.

    Sucker spearing

This brings back some good memories! We would go to a feeder creek of Thompson's Lake. We used spears we made ourselves, mostly from a sharpened broom handle, with a short nail for a barb. And it seemed every year, at least one of us would slip on a rock and get soaked! To the amusement and ball busting of the others. Good times.
  3. Both my Rocky and Muck boots have served me well. I'd buy either one again. The Mucks are lighter in weight, and a bit more comfortable.
  4. Very similar shape and brows. And shot in same spot as the picture. I say same buck Biz. Get that pic made to 8x10 and hang it near the mount.

    2019 Biz Buck

    Beautiful buck and mount Biz.
  6. Very cool story. I wonder what pound test line he was using? That thing looks heavy!
  7. This is a cool format Rob. As the fish is released right where it was caught after weighing. And the anglers have real time updates, as to what the other competitor's are doing. Come on.....let's get some sponsorship for ya, and get you out there this year! I know you'd hold your own against the pro's, on your home water! And you already have a shiny new boat too!!!!
  8. Good to go! Give em a quick sharpening, and see how they shoot from your bow!
  9. Go to huntersafetysystem.com I use and like HSS stuff, when I choose to hunt above ground.
  10. Absolutely!! That looks like more than one or two yotes. Could you set up on the side hill looking down, from where I was this past season? The NW wind would be in your favor, if they come down from the park? Or they may follow the bottom from the bowl over to there? Anyways, good luck buddy! Get some!!!
  11. Mendon? I'd say it's worth a try to do a set there. Try a fawn distress call!
  12. I like nice even numbers. Therefore, my guess is Ten Thousand Dollars even! Body work/labor and parts are crazy expensive now days.
  13. The big push from the left, is not so much to take our guns by tramping all over the 2nd amendment. (though they surely would if they could) But to deprive us of ammo to feed our guns. One of the reasons I took up reloading for myself and friends. Even here in NY, there are some places that will not sell you handgun ammo without a handgun permit. Even though some use that ammo in a long gun.

    Chronograph

I too am looking to purchase a chrono. So the info here will be helpful to me as well.
  15. Our local swamps and marshes, are not really deep enough to hold a good fish population. And that would never be my first choice to fish. Due to warmer than normal temps this winter. And a lot of freeze\thaw, I've decided to not ice fish this year. Wherever you decide to go, especially with kids, make sure you have safe ice.
  16. Good idea. But...... way too far for me to go, and then pay to ride.
  17. No doubt a guy named taco, will know how to make a Mexican lasagna!! Looks delicious! Will give it a try! Thanks for the idea Tim!
  18. That looks like a hot set up, on a real nice crossbow! Please give a review, after getting out to shoot at various distances.
  19. Pretty cool! But not in NYS.....thats for sure.
  20. Last year upon retirement, a colleague and his wife went on an Alaskan cruise and he loved it! The pictures he shared with me were spectacular. And he highly recommended doing it for my wife and I. But with this Corona virus, all it would take is to have one person on board come down with it. And the whole ship would be quarantined for a least two weeks. Not a great way to spend a vacation. I'd love to go up to Alaska some day. But I think I'd rather take a bunch of time and drive up through Canada. Or fly up and drive from from there.
  21. What a great looking pup!!! You got a friend for life right there. So cool you found each other. What's her name? So good to see ya on here too Matt!
  22. Looks great! And you're not too far from me if I need help!!!
  23. I may look into going to this one? How many Albany area huntingny members will there be?
  24. Happy to hear your Dane is feeling Great again!!! Lyme is a scourge now days. For people and our pets. I hate ticks too!
