  1. Looks great! And with the "Culver Cultivator", doing what it was designed to do, you'll have a couple very nice plots!!! Beans and brassica's should be perfect too! Hope ya have a ground blind or two set up nearby!!!......
  2. Absolutely beautiful rifle. And to have it shoot as good as it looks, is the sweet icing on the cake. Hopefully you can find out if it was indeed a match rifle. That would definitely make it even cooler than it already is! And more valuable as well. Though if it were mine, I could never sell it.
  3. As well he should be! Anytime ANY team has a legitimate shot at a WS, the GM and owners, should give their team all it needs to try and make it happen! Cashman is not doing that, as far as I can see at this point. But what do I know.... I'm just a fan.
  4. That 10 is real nice! The others are nice too! Great pic's! I'd be juiced for the upcoming season with those bucks on my property!!
  5. Crappymetrics, has got to work better than whatever the Yanks are using now!
  6. Guess I was caught way off base with this! As Boston has pummeled the Yanks in the first two games. At the very least it has kick started the Red Sox, with still plenty of time to make a run. It ain't over till it's over! If this doesn't slap Cashman in the face, with what the Yanks are facing nothing will. But he didn't seem too concerned in the interview he gave yesterday??? C'mon man, Wake Up!!!! Your pitching has given up almost 30 runs in two games!!!! And there isn't anyone that appears to be able to stop the onslaught at this time! Everyone in the starting rotation looks shakey and beat.
  7. I'm not a Sawx fan. But I am a huge Mookie fan! Gotta love the way that kid plays the game.
  8. Beautiful!!! Congratulations!
  9. That looks awesome, and for what you want to do, will work perfectly! Let us see pic's of the plot when done. Nice work Culver!!! Bob seems to have many, many skills. And a great guy too.
  10. This could not be more true, after the lastest meltdown from Tanaka. Starting pitching from the Yanks is in the toilet right now, and has been for some time. Bullpen is pretty good, but gassed by constantly having to bail out the starters early. All while the front office seemingly sits on their hands, not coming up with a quality starter and or, adding another arm to the pen! This is the yanks best shot at a WS in a long time. But they won't get there without quality pitching!! Not even close! C'mon Yankees front office!! Get your butts off the money bags, and get some better arms in the rotation, or be sent home early, to watch another team celebrate being on top!!! LOL........12 ER's in 3 innings??? He has to be tipping his pitches or something?? Plenty of guys in single A that could have done better than Tanaka did last night. And his last few starts weren't much better.
  11. Happy Birthday sir! Enjoy all the good stuff coming your way!!................
  12. Sounds like a perfect weekend! It's time spent with your kids outdoors, that make you a very rich man.
  13. Getting in shape for deer season!! Good for you, that's really awesome!! I'm on the opposite side of the hill, and will be cutting back on hunting time this year.
  14. I have done local club tournaments on and off for many years. And have even seen cheating at that level, for a measly few hundred dollars to win. So I'm not surprised at all, that the "pro's" are bending the rules, with many thousands of dollars on the line. Too bad really. And just because you are fishing a tourney, that does not give you exclusive fishing rights for wherever you want to fish!!! If another angler is on a spot you want to fish, weather they are fishing in the tourney or not, you should just move along!!! One of the main reasons for me not fishing bass tournaments like I used to, is the couple guys in every tournament who think they should have everyone bow down to them, because THEY are fishing for money. Sorry, but that's not the way it works!! Show some respect??? You need to give some to get some bud.... Some of these guy's give the rest of us bassholes a bad rap.
  15. Yanks at Sox starting tonight. Could this be the nail in the coffin for the BoSox season???? At the very least for AL east? We will see! 11 games back right now.
  16. I've never hunted there Bill, but have seen some monster bucks out in the soy bean fields on my many drives through. If you have the chance, give it a go! Hey ya never know?
  17. Awesome pic's John! I really enjoyed the commentary and pictures from your 46er thread last year. Keep it going with this next hike.
  18. Right you are! He has absolutely blown some saves and looks terrible lately! How is it possible for a human being to sweat THAT much??? He's even sweating in early season games with snow flurries flying! Britton seems to be doing ok as a closer. No surprise there Biz. He's been slumping real bad at the plate for a month now. But he has really picked up his game this year behind the plate. Compared to how dimal he was defensively last year. I like Romine better as an all around player. Much more consistent overall. And Vasquez is a future star.
  19. Great pic's G-Man!! What a beautiful bear!! You really have a great property out there!!! We have some bears here in the hilltowns of Albany county, but I've never seen any other than just the black phase here. Though over the years, I have heard others say they've seen a lighter color phase bear on their land. I have had opportunities to shoot some bears over the years, (while deer hunting) but have passed on them all. Some big boars too! I really like seeing them out there, and don't really want to kill one for just the hide or mount. As the few times I've eaten bear meat, I didn't really care for it. Though those were ADK bears. Perhaps a home grown one would taste better??? IDK. Every year my hunting partner and I say "maybe if I get a chip shot at a really BIG one, I'll shoot it"? But we haven't so far. This year though, if we get a BIG one that keeps showing up, I'm calling moog to come east for a hunt!!
  20. The catch made by Hicks to end the game was spectacular!!!
  21. Got the first five cukes out of the garden yesterday!! Salad for dinner tonight, for Mrs grampy and I !!
  22. Thanks Bob, for putting on this wonderful program again this year. This was one of the best threads on here, and it was really cool to follow along. With both the students as they progressed and the mentors. The smiles at the end, says it all. I can't think of a better way to bring new hunters, both male and female into our ranks. The dedication of the mentors in this program is truly commendable. As the time and effort put in to this is monumental. Any student signing up for this, will have the full benefit of decades of experience, to help them reach their goal, and cut the learning curve way down. There should be more of this!
  23. Good for her! That's awesome! She's not afraid to work hard to make her dreams come true. You have good reason to be proud of her.
  24. Absolutely amazing buck and mount!......(mounts)!! Congratulations!
