  1. Awesome pic's John! I really enjoyed the commentary and pictures from your 46er thread last year. Keep it going with this next hike.
  2. Right you are! He has absolutely blown some saves and looks terrible lately! How is it possible for a human being to sweat THAT much??? He's even sweating in early season games with snow flurries flying! Britton seems to be doing ok as a closer. No surprise there Biz. He's been slumping real bad at the plate for a month now. But he has really picked up his game this year behind the plate. Compared to how dimal he was defensively last year. I like Romine better as an all around player. Much more consistent overall. And Vasquez is a future star.
  3. Great pic's G-Man!! What a beautiful bear!! You really have a great property out there!!! We have some bears here in the hilltowns of Albany county, but I've never seen any other than just the black phase here. Though over the years, I have heard others say they've seen a lighter color phase bear on their land. I have had opportunities to shoot some bears over the years, (while deer hunting) but have passed on them all. Some big boars too! I really like seeing them out there, and don't really want to kill one for just the hide or mount. As the few times I've eaten bear meat, I didn't really care for it. Though those were ADK bears. Perhaps a home grown one would taste better??? IDK. Every year my hunting partner and I say "maybe if I get a chip shot at a really BIG one, I'll shoot it"? But we haven't so far. This year though, if we get a BIG one that keeps showing up, I'm calling moog to come east for a hunt!!
  4. The catch made by Hicks to end the game was spectacular!!!
  5. Got the first five cukes out of the garden yesterday!! Salad for dinner tonight, for Mrs grampy and I !!
  6. Thanks Bob, for putting on this wonderful program again this year. This was one of the best threads on here, and it was really cool to follow along. With both the students as they progressed and the mentors. The smiles at the end, says it all. I can't think of a better way to bring new hunters, both male and female into our ranks. The dedication of the mentors in this program is truly commendable. As the time and effort put in to this is monumental. Any student signing up for this, will have the full benefit of decades of experience, to help them reach their goal, and cut the learning curve way down. There should be more of this!
  7. Good for her! That's awesome! She's not afraid to work hard to make her dreams come true. You have good reason to be proud of her.
  8. Absolutely amazing buck and mount!......(mounts)!! Congratulations!
  9. Great team win! And great play from your sons! Congratulations!
  10. No doubt is was a grand time going back to the good old days, with memories and stories. And remembering the ones who couldn't be there. Reunions are cool.
  11. Man, you gotta hold the record that nobody wants to have!!!! I've hit four deer altogether. In 45 years of driving. But have had dozens of close calls. Just plain lucky I guess. And live in an area with not too high of deer density.
  12. Nice looking truck!! Congratulations!!
  13. We are done in this tournament (one and done). Lost the first game to a team we mercied last week. Kids on our team looked gassed. And the other team really stepped it up. Congrats to them! Best of luck this weekend to the other HNY youth teams!
  14. Grandson's team will start a tournament today at 10:30. Then if they win the first game, play a 2nd at 5:30. And if they win that....play at Joe Bruno stadium for the championship tomorrow. Ah....youth.
  15. I'll come cut your grass. And then if ya give me a boost, I might make it over the fence to the Deeryard? By that time I'd be about used up though. So I'd need a comfy chair and a cold drink, to enjoy the view and festivities.
  16. Glad you guys are OK. This heat and humidity can fire off some super cells that can be real scary.
  17. Just save the nads for wolc......
  18. If he has 18 inch arms, you should have a decent reach advantage!...............grin You prepare the contract Biz, and I'll sign it! I'll go up against the best in my division in a First Blood Trail, Ladder Stand, Caged Deer Match! But I can only fight on a Saturday or Sunday, cause I'm just a weekend warrior! And you only get 7%. As I will supply my own transportation to FSW's enclosure.
  19. If 'everyone' was PERFECT here, would we all get along better????.................. Just a thought............... I have no doubt whatsoever that your kids are great kids. And that in "real life" you are a great guy. So I just don't understand why you need to be a "Dick" here at times? You don't really need to be.
  20. Yup......and he seems to have recently disappeared from the forum?????
  21. When I was 6 or 7 years old I got it over 80% of my body, really bad. Even spent a few days in the hospital as it was even in my throat. Since then, I could lay down in the stuff naked, and not get it.(how's that for a mental picture....lol) So now my hunting partner leaves all the ground blind building, and stand trimming to me!! I can even weed whack the stuff in shorts and nothing! IDK?.......Maybe my body built up a resistance to it, after being overwhelmed at an early age?? Lucky I guess? Now if I could just hit the PowerBall!!!!............
  22. So very happy for you, now that you have this life changing new arm! I could feel the excitement in you, just reading your post! The way you explained how the electrodes work was perfect. Even a technology dummy like me understood, and that says a lot!! I am truly amazed at the technology behind something like this. The people who design stuff like this are in a class by themselves for sure! For you to now be able to do something most take for granted, is a wonderful, eye opening experience no doubt. I too, look forward to seeing each and every milestone you reach with your new bionic arm, Bionic!! Great stuff here my friend!
  23. What a beauty!!! The M1 that is......though the chuck ain't too bad either. Nice shooting.
  24. I know you'll really put it through it's paces, and figure out what does and doesn't need to be tweaked. That is the whole idea of working with a prototype. Does this one "feel" a lot different with more channels? They certainly picked the right person to get this figured out, to help others. Thanks to you, this is a really cool thread!!
