We picked our first bell pepper last weekend. Have a bunch more almost ready. Planted the first of June. Are you using any fertilizer? I use the Miracle Grow potting soil when planting, That seems to give them a good boost. Just put in a couple good handfuls in the hole and set plants in.

Got a bunch of big beefsteak tomatoes, but all are still green. When will they start to ripen? First time growing this variety for me.

Deer And Deer Hunting, North American Whitetail, Outdoor Life, Bowhunter, Field And Stream, Guns And Ammo, and a few others over the years. With all the advertising and paid product endorsements, I've lost most of my interest in magazines. For Christmas, my grandsons give me a subscription to D&DH and F&S. I do flip through them, and occasionally still find a good article or two.

I think they are tying the noose, and securing it to the rail right now!! Unreal!! The one thing his team needs to contend for a WS, and he turns his back. Let him swing!!

Egg-A-Muffin.............yeah.

Yes. And yes. No elevated tree stand hunting as well. Really nice of you to be a mentor to that young man Eddie. He's very lucky to have found someone with your experience, willing to help.

Mrs. grampy and I, love to go and walk around at different festivals. This looks like a good one and we've never been to it. End of summer apple festivals are the best. But who doesn't like garlic!!
-
Yeah Biz, that's all good, but I really want to know who wins the WS?????

Can you keep a buck on. Your property??
grampy replied to G-Man's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
If he feels safe. Has preferred food source close by. Water. And access to doe's during the rut. A buck has no reason to travel. But they do! With all he wants close by, he's apt to travel less. Depends on the individual too. Some are home bodys. Some just have that grass is always greener outlook. But if you can give them all they want, I feel it does up the odds of keeping more on your property. Because if they don't find what they want. They will look elsewhere. Pretty simple. -
Axis deer are so beautiful! There is a farm not far from my lake property that raises them. Every now and then one will escape. Keep hoping the escapee wonders down by me during hunting season!! Congrats on a very nice Axis deer! Looks like you had a great time!!

Happy Birthday!!

I go to the one in Cobleskill. Can't find a better one for woodchucks! They still sell firearms in there too! Even a McDonalds in there. Where I once witnessed a couple eating, and 'SHARING' one set of upper dentures!!! I kid you not.

Someway, somehow, if you are determined, and resourceful enough, you will figure out something that will work for you. There is definitely an opportunity out there! You just have to find it! Be it your uncles old property, or somewhere else. I truely wish you all the best!

Sounds absolutely awesome John!!! Way to go man!

Yeah........and woodchuck week!

I've seen kiki is good with capital region guys though! I wonder if it's just CERTAIN downstate guys......hehehe. She is a good girl for sure. Can shoot bows in your basement and she is right there for a scratch behind the ear, but knows to stay when shooting!

Cost wise, I'll bet that mount is up there! But it's probably the coolest fish mount I've ever seen!

The New to Market Culver Creek ATV Plow

Perfectly! Thanks! -
Sorry to hear this and hope you're OK Larry. If a dog owner knows their dog is aggressive, they should know better than to let the dog be around any guests, they may have over. Plain and simple. Put the dog in the basement, or lock it in a bedroom. Absolutely no excuse to be bitten at a family get together. Not all pitties are dangerous. My sister had one when my nephew was little, and that was the most gentle dog around kids and people. Other dogs.....not so much. My nephew could sleep on him even. And never once in his whole life, did he as much as growl at someone he knew was supposed to be there. But many times it's not that way with pits, or any aggressive breed. And I never trust one I don't know. I firmly believe if any dog bites someone, even one time, that dog is never to be trusted around anyone again. And if it bites twice, the the owner should be responsible enough to put the dog down! Most times, it's the owner who is responsible for the dog being that way in the first place.
