Like you are now?........ Don't blame ya though Biz. My Yankees are actually have a very good season! It's just that the Red Sox are having a much better one! We'll see how it all shakes out in the end. As it looks now, the Sox are World Series bound. Until then, "Let's Play Ball"!!!

My best friends daughter started a pair of ice fishing mittens for me. She tells me they are almost done. She is having her first baby any time now, so I guess she's been a little busy.....lol

My bobcat from last year was a beauty, with very nice markings. We usually get at least one a year. Quite a few of them around here. But very seldom seen. Got this one from a ground blind, while deer hunting.

Mookie Betts is a special baseball player. I really like how he plays the game, on and off the field.

My enthusiasm for hunting this year is well not very enthusiastic

I just reread my previous post, and it seems a bit down to me now. I'm very lucky to be busy the way I am! I'm working full time and keeping up with three different properties. Seeded the last plot tonight after work, before the next bout of rain moves in. So I am preparing for hunting season!Tomorrow will start hanging cams. Sometimes I'm just so busy, I don't take the time, to just sit back and and enjoy the fruits of my labor. It's always on to the next thing that needs to get done. How did growalot manage all the stuff she did? Hmmm...I'll have to ask her sometime! lol. Anyways, I just finished my biggest annual project at work, so things will start getting easier there. No doubt when the leaves begin to change, and the first cool spell comes, with a hint of fall in the air. My thoughts will turn to the deer woods. It really isn't all about the kill for me anymore. As I have nothing to prove. It's all about sharing time with friends and family, seeing sunsets and sunrises, being alone with my thoughts. Its when I feel most alive. It's when I'm really me! I know I'm closer to the end of my hunting time, than the beginning. But no doubt, when the time comes and my body can't make it to the hunting woods. My mind will always take me there. And a smile will crease my lips, as my heart warms my soul, thinking of a cool fall morning. -

I'm hoping as the season gets closer, I will get more excited. But honestly, since spring, I have been far too busy with EVERYTHING! I really am not that stoked about hunting this year at all. Been out on the boat twice, that's it. Last year health issues kept me down. Those same issues are starting to give me trouble again lately. Back to the doc's right after Labor Day. I hope to help my grandson get his first deer this year!! I do look forward to that! But other than that, if I go, I go. No big deal. Very difficult to draw my bow anymore as well. Just not feeling it......... Hunting for me now is more about R and R, than killing deer. -
7mm-08 for me too. Loaded with 140g Nosler BTs. from 30 yards to 300, same result, dead right there deer.

Good advice Jerry. Think I'll mix up a batch right after work, and sip, not gulp........

The Bills QBs really did look good! Not so much from my Panthers QB, Scam Newton. He is just not accurate, had a few passes over the heads of open receivers. Also his decision making in the pocket is deplorable. Though he only played a few series, I saw no improvement since 2015. Same old Scam! Perhaps if he climbed down off his high horse, and quit all the showboating, he could be a much better QB! He has all the physical capabilities needed for sure. But it is what's between the ears, that makes an elite QB! We will be lucky to go 8 and 8 this year...............sigh.

Sure is purty with all that fine checkering on beautiful walnut. Bet she's a real fine shooter too. Not too much that a 280 can't lay flat either. -
If I were not so off the charts, crazy busy, I'd love to come down to this!!! One of these years I will!!!

My oldest grandson, (huge Giants fan) had tears in his eyes, when the Giants drafted Barkley. He really is something special to watch! I hope he turns out to be as good as expected, and even better! That Kneeling thing turned off a lot of longtime NFL fans. Understandably so, may I add. The league changed the rule on that, to no on field kneeling, during the National Anthem. As long as they were willing to disrespect our flag, and the men and women who fought and died for it, and their right to protest. I was willing to protest the kneelers! And to a degree the NFL for not taking a stand. The NFL took a stand, finally.

Here in the Albany area, it's on Fox.

On tap tonight, a little pre season action, with The Bills facing off against The Panthers!!! A little smack talk from the Bills Kelvin Benjamin, about his old quarterback, Cam Newton, this past week.

Awesome!! Bow on public land, can be done! And so rewarding! Challenging? Sure, but not impossible at all. We are here for you! You will have a bunch of questions, no doubt, so ask away as they come to you. Would be great to see you succeed this fall!

For the second time shooting, ya did really good!!! Pretty decent group too!!! If continuing to hit a touch to the left, move your pin just a touch to the left. Great that you can draw nice and easy.

TrailcamTom, do you have your hunting license? Will you be hunting with firearm, bow or both? Hunting public or private property? Looking for a mentor or learn as you go? Mostly deer hunting? What part of the state will you be hunting? Just a little more info can help us, help you.

I've never used them, but might give them a try. My buddy started using them last year, and loves them. Saw right where he hit the deer, and had no problem finding his arrow, after the shot. I know when we practiced together, they looked pretty bright in flight. He also said, he made just a minimum bow adjustment to get them to fly like the other normal nocked arrows.
