  1. I wonder if that homeowner really likes his deer, and enjoys the finer things in life? That would explain a lot!
  2. Many years ago, I had an 80 something guy tell me, "the older you get, the more ways the doc's find to degrade ya". Based on my own experiences, he was right on the money. But I am still sucking air, so I'll just continue to follow Drs. orders. Beats the alternative.
  3. You would think someone would take care of the infection in his back leg. Must be they only care about the antlers.
  4. Lets make a friendly wager. You and I on the same property. Any property! Pick a deer, and lets see who can get a cell pic of that deer first. My property, your property, or public land, you pick the place. Be interesting to see how it would all shake out, would it not?
  5. And they would also come back out, with thousands less in their bank account, and the sweet satisfaction of shooting a deer behind a fence! So if the fence is big enough, do you then call it free range hunting? Or just harder to hunt farm raised deer?
  6. I think the night before, is always worse than the day of. Hoping for 'clean' results my friend.
  7. Glad no one was hurt, and it didn't spoil the fun.
  8. Congratulations to you and Miss....er Mrs. B! Certainly was a nice day for an outside wedding! Kiss the bride for me.
  9. Nothing wrong getting dirty with the Mrs.........hehehe Good times on the wheelers, love it! Few years ago, I got thrown off hard, being an idiot. Took the wife a little while to stop laughing, before she asked if I was alright.
  10. Maybe they will now go back to our property, to clean up the miles of string they left behind, doing the grid searches. Happy that he was finally found, the poor guy. After thousands of man hours searching from state agencies, over many square miles. The guy was found just off the most popular trail in the park?
  11. How is the knee doing today? Hope it's better oldtimer........grin.
  12. Finally got the covers off, batteries charged an in, electronics set up and motor started. Just need to wash and wax. Will be on the water in a few days. Still super busy at work. But I feel a sickness coming soon.......cough......cough.
  13. Happy Birthday! You sure have a beautiful day to enjoy all the good stuff, coming your way!
  14. Great pictures of what sounds like a tough hike John. Heal up my friend, and get back to finishing up the last ten peaks. I think you made a smart decision to head home, before causing more damage to the wheels. At times, the most difficult decision, is knowing when to say when.
  15. Love it! Soooo cool! Can't wait to see what ya come up with next!
  16. To be completely honest, I really don't care, what even my own bucks score. Though I think I've killed some "decent" bucks over the years. I've never had one "officially" scored. Numbers don't matter to me, never did, never will. So really, I could care less about the score of some picture of a buck YOU 'claimed' to have killed. YOU are supposedly in the numbers business for deer, not me. You just keep talking in circles, and hiding in shadows. When YOU want to come clean, maybe I'll come back to play with you some more. Until then, YOU, have the undisputed title of Grand Poobah, of everything whitetail and whitetail hunting! Congratulations my friend YOU sort of earned it! grampy out.......
  17. I could say the same thing. Perhaps, even say I have bigger bucks on my wall. Just saying. Same as you old buddy.
  18. I'm not a professional deer wrangler, YOU are my friend! YOU tell me what he scores. All my bucks are Baby Bucks, and I can't count past 100. So certainly my guess would be way off. But I would like to see the the trophy wall of a professional, such as YOU! Or even a pic of a 170 inch deer with YOU in it! YOU must have bunches of them! I'd truly like to see what I'm missing! I am missing something, right?
  19. Sorry, nice buck, beautiful buck in fact. But not even close to a B&C buck. And where are YOU in the picture? And again, in fact, the one moog posted, would score much higher. But I'm sure it's all conjecture on YOUR part. Guess scoring bucks SHOULD be in YOUR professional realm of knowledge. Perhaps YOU could use a refresher course on scoring bucks?
  20. Nice! Sweet set up for the youngsters! And built for a southpaw too!
  21. Seems as if no matter what anyone else does, YOU do it way better! Hey that's cool! Bet YOUR Dad, can beat up my dad too! I have no reason to compare myself to YOU or anyone else, and don't care to do so here. And why would i? Because no matter how much land i have, what i raise on that land, what i hunt on that land, what my profession is, or how much money i may, or may not have. Will never measure up to YOU! Yup, pretty sure YOU have us all covered in everything. But i'm good with all that. As long as YOU are good with it, as i'm sure YOU are! Seems to be a recurring theme here, does it not? Oh....and i'm sure, one small picture of YOUR big wall of 170+ bucks should be no BIG deal for someone like YOU! i don't have a single 170 inch buck on my wall, at this point, probably never will. But YOU have a wall full! That means YOU must truly be a much BETTER hunter than i. That's ok with me too. i really don't mind being second to YOU. And i really don't mind not being YOU at all.
  22. I don't know man, you could probably "play" the bird a little more with the lighter 8lb test line. Would give ya a little more time to enjoy the "catch".
  23. Yes, about 20-25 minutes away. Look over across the river to the Helderburg Hills, we are near there. Just got home, wish I'd seen this earlier. You still in the area?
  24. Regardless of $$$, is it not, still raising livestock? That is the point I'm making. So I really have no need to speculate on anything.
  25. What's the difference? No jealousy here. And both of our livestock tastes good!
