  1. I've seen bear and deer in the same proximity many, many times. They just sort of ignor each other. In spring/early summer, bears will take some fawns. But mostly right after they drop. Once they can keep up with the doe, bears don't bother with them as much. Coyotes kill a much greater percentage of fawns and deer than bears.
  2. Have that 1x4 on my Ithica Deerslayer2. Took a pile of deer with that set up! Great scope!
  3. Ya did good Larry! You answered every question, really well, from experience! Bet you'd give a hell of a deer or fishing seminar too! Wish you the best in retirement sir!
  4. We are getting quite a few visits of the little beauties per day now. My wife adores them! I think they are pretty cool too.
  5. Got some beans, tomatoes, and peppers in over the weekend.
  6. Sounds like an awesome outing! I love fishing the Schenevus! Usually start out by the Tanner St. bridge. There are some big trout in that creek!!!
  7. Hey buddy, hope you have a great Birthday! Only the best for you today!
  8. Great pic's of a nice time on the water! Looks like a good crew too!
  9. Sorry.....I ran out of "likes" and "thanks"......... So again, Thank You!
  10. Just want to thank each and every one of you for the birthday wishes! You are all the reason, this is such a great place to visit. Got home from work, put some venison cutlets on the grill with a nice tossed salad. Enjoying a nice cold drink on the deck now! Perfect ending to the day.
  11. Would love to spend a day on the water with you, anytime!
  12. Poulan Pro. I've had mine a few years now with no problems at all. But this is a two stroke gas motor, not electric.
  13. Thanks everyone! Gotta work tomorrow on the bithday. So had family and some friends drop in today. I ate like a king, and laughed till I cried. The perfect day! I'm a very lucky man.
  14. Very cool! Always a treat to see what ya come up with next, my friend!
  15. Final score........turkeys 3.....grampy 0. Wanted to get out this weekend, but did family stuff and my yard looks great! Heard lots of gobbling here at home, where I don't hunt. One gobble from the roost opening day, that's it, on my hunting property. Enjoyed every second I was out though. Now, got to get the boat ready for bass! And get things done for deer season! Congratulations to all the successful turkey hunters this year!
  16. Good luck to the guy, he's really gonna need it. My suggestion is to start a pig roast, with lots of beer, at 8pm, the day BEFORE his curfew. That gives you 24 hours to talk some sense to him! Could never understand why a woman would want to make a wussy out of her man. Or why a man would let her do it.
  17. I remember the time, with backwoods Annie. I got nothing, but ivy covered her fanny. grin.......
  18. Yankees getting spanked. They need pitching like someone crossing the desert, needs a drink!
  19. As always.......amazing! Wish I had the talent you have in just one finger! I think a hiking staff, with native american etchings, and feathers, would be sooo cool! Having some native blood in me, makes me think of things like that.
  20. Had a few bikes when I was younger. Mostly Harleys. My last bike was 30 years ago. Was coming out of Clarksville on 443 just past Van Wie's farm, on the flats. Was doing well over 100mph, when a herd of deer decided to cross the road right in front of me. I should have died that night, as I have no idea how I didn't hit one. I remember seeing them just in front of me and both sides. Got home, got off the bike, and never got on one again.
