  1. Not sure why anyone would bear or deer hunt with a FMJ bullet? Bad choice IMO. So many better options available.
  2. Dang, that's a tough pill to swallow. Talk about bad luck! Between being shot and stomped, he probably didn't go far. Search all the nearby nooks and cranny's, and under bushes. Don't think it would be a coyote, as after the shot, they will high tail it out of there. Hope your luck improves and you find him!
  3. Some great fishing! The little guy stole the show!
  4. I salute all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, for this country . And also to all my fellow vets.
  5. Perfect small water boat! Wish ya good luck and tight lines this weekend!
  6. I've been wearing "three legged" undershorts my whole life. Thought everyone did??? Gotta put it somewhere!
  7. Sounds like a great time! Hope the last night, is a special one in bear camp for you guy's! Best of luck and safe travels home!
  8. Congratulations! Two with the bow. in one season, is something not too many accomplish! Tip O' the hat to you sir!
  9. When you score ten runs and lose, you need some pitching help! There is some top notch trade bait in AAA Scranton, to get a big arm into the rotation. That's what they will do, before the deadline.
  10. Or a lawyer!.......................grin
  11. Yup, it's you!!! Perfect plaque for the office too!!!
  12. Congratulations on a job well done Larry. You're still a beast in the hunting woods and on the water! I know retirement will be all you want it to be my friend. Enjoy it!
  13. So annoying! Have no idea what they are trying to gain, or what they have to gain, by being a royale PITA! This is the only place I see it like this.
  14. I'm surprised that he is not one of the front runners in an election bid, somewhere! Or already holding office for some liberal position!
  15. Worked in a slaughterhouse for beef and pork. It stunk bad in the summer, never did get used to it. Was low man, so got all the crap jobs. But I did learn how to cut meat! And still use that skill today!
  16. They don't want work, they want free money!! Saw a thing on the 20/20 TV show awhile back, where some of these people drive away in expensive cars, and live in nice houses. I've thought about making my own sign, and showing it to them when they are standing there. "I'LL WORK FOR YOU"!!!
  17. The victim ran away from the cat. Never a good idea. But packing some firepower in a known big cat, or bear area, would have saved, what had to be a horrible death.
  18. Great video! The young anglers are getting it done! So cool! You run a tight ship there C'pn ! Well organized, nice boat!
  19. Hang in there buddy. Got a good feeling your luck is about to change in a BIG way!!!
  20. Indeed it is a heavy rifle. But I won't be carrying it over mountains in the adirondacks. Just on our 500 or so acres. I also think the extra weight will make it more stable, for those longer 300 plus yard shots, that we sometimes have on coyotes here. Would enjoy the trigger time, learning to shoot at longer ranges too! Have been doing that a bit with the 270 Sako. Deer hunting opportunities here are still mostly under 75 yards though. But there are a couple long range set up's for deer, that a rifle like this could be used for. Not really looking for, or want multiple quick shots. Just one accurate one. And it just looks so darned cool!
  21. That Ruger Precision looks REALLY nice! Can get all the bells and whistles on it too, being a bolt rifle. That may be the way to go for me.
  22. Yes, that is another great option! I have a bolt action 7mm-08 and lots of brass though. But the 6.5cm has caught my attention, no doubt!
  23. This thread has me seriously thinking about a 7mm-08 in an AR platform for deer AND coyotes. I love the 7mm-08, and I'm finally set up to reload for it too. Just can't get out of my mind, 'how cool would that be'! I'm currently saving for a coyote rig, but with this I could get more use? And double the fun.
  24. Gobblers going nuts this morning behind the house before work. Can't hunt there though......
