    We all hunt differently. We all hunt with different guns and shoot at different distances. My feeling is, as long as the hunter can "CONSISTENTLY" put their round in the vitals at whatever the distance they are shooting, with a terminally efficient bullet type. Then it's all good! And I love using the Federal Premium Nosler Bullistic Tip ammo that a member here, recommended! Dead right there results with great accuracy!

    Had a dandy shooter 8pt. go by twice yesterday between 10 and 2. He was not chasing, just cruising. But both times, I just did not have a clean shot at him. He showed no interest in the bleat or grunt calls, I tried in desperation, to get him a bit closer. Nice to see one of the big guy's on their feet during daylight though! This weekend is going to be stellar!

    I did my civic duty before work this morning. Our great Nation is standing at a crossroad. Get out and vote! To show which road the Nation will follow. And your local elections can have almost as much impact on your life, as the Presidential election.

    Another thing to check on a Barnett is the tension on the bolt retaining spring. on mine it was too loose and the shots were like yours, all over. But after tightening the BRS, it has held zero very nicely . Just something else to try. Good luck.

    Congratulations Larry! Nice Buck! My buddies daughter shot nice 6pt. yesterday . Her 1st buck! Total time in stand, 15 minutes ! My slump continues . But each day is a new opportunity to get it done! Going to the lake property today. Deer movement is definitely picking up! Good luck to all!

    I will have my crossbow in the morning. It's fun. It's legal. It's just another way to kill a deer. No big deal really .

    Taking the compound out today, for the final ride of the season . Just in time, as my right shoulder is really acting up again. Crossbow will be taking the ride starting tomorrow . Really hoping to get it done with the old Matthews today though! Good luck to all heading out! Keep safe out there!

    I think in the early 1900's it was put in place to give farm workers more time in the field . But I am not entirely sure about that.
